Pilots can post their Request hereinafter or post a message to Me (ITA_Cipson).____________________________________ RULES Rev 3 (16 January 2016) (In Blue, changing) Main Rules are the following, just quoted: 1) As you know, who concludes missions (Destroy designated Targets) first, wins the Battle. 2) In case of no Tasks conclusion, before 2 hours, the Winner will be who will have accumulated the major number of points, as calculated by the Statistic System 3) The Statistic System is prepared by =FB=Vaal and =FB=Isay, which we thanks for the Great Job. At the moment we don't have possibility to modify it, therefore will be applied integrally. 4) A Fair and Gallantry behavior is request to all Pilots becouse everybody has to remember that Pilots are before Gentlemen and after Officers. This aspect will be MANDATORY.... 5) Duration of The Tournament will be actually 8 Mission, but it could be extended to 12 if we will conclude the preparation of further 4 Mission, being the Parts in agremeent. 6) Wins the Tournament the Part who wins more Battles, reaching the Target Mission or with Points collection, in case Target will be missed for time expiration (2 hours (tollerance some minutes for tech reasons)). 7) Boarding Time: From Now It's foresee a "Boarding Time" to allow Pilots a correct Server connection and Boarding. Moreover this Time will be necessary to Server to "STABILIZE" after the concitated Connection Phase. During The Boarding Time Aircraft Engines must be OFF. To This matter The WOI Organization points out the fact that, action as "Shooting to Parachuted Helpless Pilots" will be consider an ACTS OF DISHONOUR, (contrary in Real Life to "Geneve Convention for War Conduct") subjet also to Team Penality or Pilot Banning, in case of repeat. Unlimited plane's quantity, only 5 minutes between pilot's death and respawn - so what will prevent the pilots from wasting aircrafts just like ammo? A strike plane that hits his target will prefer to abandon his craft and respawn on his field in 5 minutes instead of making all his way back and landing which will take 10 to 15 minutes, or more.. I think we have to discuss it. hi Elie, 1) regarding Aircraft we have limitation on numbers, therefore Pilots have to take care of them. 2) regarding Armaments we have some problems to lock them becouse at this point all depends from setting of our Mission Designer, which you know is Gagarin, and we are not in condition to modify his missions becouse we don't have the source files... In case you are worring about some armament like i.e. the German 1000 Kg Bomb (by the way foresees by Gagarin for He-111) we can discuss a Gentlemen agreement to avoid its use. On the other side I don't know if Reds have some "embarassing" armament to exchange for balancing (Rockets? Double FAB500? ...). Let me know your opinion regarding.... I think that we can agree a Weapon "Manual" Set, under Gentlemen Agreement, in order to rend more realistic and hystoric the Scenario. 3) on respawn I agree with your note. How can we solve? We can put a delay on respawn? Could be 10 min for Dead and 10 min for emergency landing or parachuting, simulating a bit time for recovering the Pilot. Nik (WVoss) has just changed in this way.... I would propose 2 lives per mission, respawn time 25 minutes, 2-3 planes per pilot for a mission, if a pilot abandon his plane and lands successfully over the enemy territory - he is supposed captured - if it's possible to figure out some difference between captured and dead - nice, if not - we treat him as dead. I don't know yet what my squad mates think of it. About armament locks - it was not mine question, I propose not to lock any weapon this time, just discuss it later - enough emergence for today.

We don't know why we put the number required but the result it's only a delay. To solve in some way asking to specialists. Regarding the 25 minutes of delay, could be interesting, and we have just considered also 30 min. On the other side, in this Phase, were we have before to "promote" this initiative, with excessive penalizations, we risk to lose Pilots instead to increase. Could we reach a compromise, setting to 15 min for dead and respawn, with the purpouse of monitoring this aspect with pilots and vary in consequence? Let me know.. Cip

I post my imho about mission and server settings below. We got 1600-1700 seconds of penalties after disco/chute/death which is much more than 15 minutes. 15*60 should be 900, not 1600 seconds and more that we got . As the server starts and pilots connecting, there are much network-related issues. Such as planes missing, disco, game crashes etc. All this compounded by low airfield count. We have 12 and more pilots on 1 airfield and lost ~5 planes on reasons listed above and recieved a 5 1600+ penalties. I think, in that case, penalties should be maximum of 10 minutes to compensate this technical problems. How do you think? Edited January 11, 2016 by 72AG_Crusader

Regarding problems, the Delay Setting was a great problem, because, more than give penalities to Pilots in Game, has given a lot of problems to Players trying to connecting or with disonnecting problems... I agree to reduce, temporarely, this setting to minimum 2 or 3 minutes until connecting problems are fully solved. After this we can think to more "Real Setting" ( as we like). Regarding Server we noted a certain Overload, therefore during this week we will arrange some upgrade to avoid "High Fatigue" to the Machine. We consider to be in operation for next monday. Statistic System has failed for an "human error" during the Restart. Restart was an event not considered before and the Server Admin had problems with the procedure trying to restart hurry. We are sorry for that but, you know, "Shits Happens". Also a Boarding Procedure has to be Managed a bit. We have to allow to all Pilots to get their seats before to put them under "The Storm of War". You know that, for Server and Program problems, it's impossible to enter all together at the same time. Therefore in order to avoid excessive (and not Realistic) advantage of which has the fortune to enter before we have to think to a sort of "No Fly Time" until all Pilots are connected correctly and Starting with the Real Mission only at this point, on other side we risk unbalanced situation like yesterday where Pilots, already in fly becouse connected by several minutes, made offensive action over Pilots just connected by few seconds... This is not considerable as "Surprise Attack", becouse we espected the Russian actions on Blue Airfields, simply we were not in condition to answer becouse lack of connection... I would propose to start with engines after a "GO" given by the GAME UNPAIRS (Martefi and Me) which can evaluate the connection and Server problems before starting the Match... This "Procedure", if applied, has another benefit on game efficency becouse reduces "LAG Problems" of the Server due mainly to the continuos enter/exit of Players. After you loaded in brief, you can hear this sound. Yesterday it was very late then usually, and some pilots tried to spawn on airfield before this sound appeared. Of course, they got problems with spawning and they lost their planes. SO, this could be an indicator for pilots to say "i'm ready to fly". Becouse this comparing between two identical missions would be useful for testing the upgrading of System and also of Procedures...

We worried about low airfields amount and target counting inside of mission logics. We destroyed from 75% to 90% of port "Logovskiy", but target icon does not disappear and message "Target destroyed" does not appear. We expect that there will be some indication of this. Statistics could give more information about this problem, so what is not that is not. I ask my squadmates about mission repeat. Answer you in two days.
I-Cipson Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) Targets are quite "HARD" to wipe out completely, we have to get all objects making part of the Target, until that moment, Target give you only Points, but not the Victory Point. We, also, worked a lot on your Red Station and Red Bridge and only at the end we were able to get the message "Target X destroied". Could be appreciated or not, this is the Target System of BOS, actually, until someone is in condition to upgrade to a more Realistic Counting. In SEOW Il-2 1946, my Mate Maraz developed a Target Point System based on "Saturation of Target", considering the amount of Bombs which reached the Target, respect to an estimated Bomb Tons Value. It was a more realistic System becouse you get Points also for "Partial Destruction". In your case, i.e. you could get from 75% to 90% of Points dedicated to a Target , not only "0" or "1" like in this case.... But, unfortunately, for the moment, we are not in condition to change.... may be you have some idea? Edited January 12, 2016 by ITA_Cipson

As per the agreements reached by the heads of the two factions, the setting for the death penality and respawn were inserted 180 seconds. Caution!! The penalty for those who change faction is the entire mission. Always with the agreements reached, the mission was extended by 15 minutes until you can choose your own plane, so that the server is stable. The GO will be given by those responsible of the Red and Blu. Good hunting !!

The Server held its job, without any particular events, a part of some Client disconnection, in which some Pilots incurred (including myself... ), but we can consider them a really minor events. Therefore the MATCH is VALID for the Tournament! At this point Congratulation to the RED TEAM which won for Targets Destruction 6 to 4 winning the 1 RUN TOURNAMENT SCORE at 18 01 20161° RUN BLUE 0 - RED 1 Hereinafter the Statistics in Details that show the impressive Points Performances of the Russian Team, to which the Blue Team had answered only with Targets destruction which, anyway, at Half Match were 4 to 3 for "The Italians and their Allied". But on the last Part of the mission, the final Russian Rush resolved the situation with the subsequently destruction of the 3 remained Targets, closing the Match. BRAVO!!!! EAF_Stuntman Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Hello Wings of Italy. This is Stuntman from EAF. I fly Blue. Your server is very good, great performance, no lag and I love the large numbers of active pilots. In mission 2 I was able to helpt my team with 3 kills and 1 assist. While I was retreating from the battle, a high energy Red fighter attacked me and killed my pilot, ending my streak of 6 from the start of the campaign. It was a very intense fight over the Red airfield! Thanks for the great game. I'm uploading now a video from this mission. I hope you will enjoy it.

I'm flying for the Blue Team on the Wings of Italy tournament server with 60+ active players simultaneously. My role this mission was to escort and protect Stukas. We were keeping air superiority over the Red Team airfield while the Stukas dive bombed it. We did our best against an opposition that regularly reinforced the battle and kept a very high standard of flying. The Stukas got attacked and we dived in to help, fighting the opposition until they could escape. But it was a loosing battle. I got 3 confirmed kills and 1 assist, but in the end, we were overwhelmed by Red Team reinforcements. While trying to retreat away from the enemy, I got killed.
