AstrixAU Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) Hey guys! I was having a hard time working out why my graphics weren't looking as good as other online. Some of the cockpit controls were pixeleated more in Ultra than Low. After disabling HDR I finally had all my textures and elements render perfectly on my AMD R9 290x Crossfire set up running the 15.11 (Catalyst) driver, not crimson, I had to revert to Catalyst as there was a issue with Crimson that has just had a beta released today (15.11.1 Crimson) to fix some issues and I will be trying it now, it has Freesync support for DX9 so it's a great update for Freesync users who play IL-2. AstrixAU Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) Even using the SSAO setting on AMD cards has negative affects. It creates horrible issue that looks like ghosting when looking around. Turning SAAO off fixed the issue but it's still not the best scrolling or looking around but I am glad I sorted that very annoying blur/ghosting. These these settings Nvidia settings or something? AstrixAU Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 If your using AMD cards like me Turn off HDR and SSAO, simple!
AstrixAU Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 I think HDR might be affected by the SSAO, I did test earlier and saw 100% it was affecting the textures but I had SSAO on at the time so HDR on it's own might not be negative.
