fjacobsen Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 When I set a flight of 3 Ju-52 to formation "Left edge" in the mission editor, the don´t follow that command in flight. My mission is quite simple: 3 x Ju-52, 2 & 3 linked to no. 1 as wingmen at 4000m heading north west. Waypoint 1 is triggered 2 sec after mission has been loaded. and is situated 100 km north west of the JU-52's and set to 220 km/h at 4000m. Formation "Left Edge", "Safe" is triggered 10 sec after mission has been loaded. In the sim they simply keep flying in coloumn formation. Is there anything special to do inorder to let them change formation ? FinnJ
No601_Prangster Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Try lowering the speed at the waypoint. The Ju-52 had a cruising speed of 150 km/h so they might be struggling to catch up. 1
fjacobsen Posted April 23, 2015 Author Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) I just found out by opening the .mission file that all 3 Ju-52 was set to "Number In Formation = 0". So after setting the lead aircraft as target for no.2 and no.3 wingman, it´s importatnt to go into the "Formation" menu of the Lead no.1 and check that no.2 & 3 are listed. To be sure it was recognised, I cycled their place in the formation and saved the mission. Now the "Number in formation" was set correctly as "0" for the Lead, "1" for no.2 and "2" for no.3 wingmen. Otherwise it seems they will act individual aircraft. Hope this will help others too. FinnJ Edited April 23, 2015 by fjacobsen
Habu Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Yes sometimes, the formation number bug and is not set correctly. In that case, i delete the bad object and use a new one to be sure that everything is ok.
