In July 2015 early access will start, with the updates you get the planes 1 by 1. So P40 might take some more time.

Yeh that's how it was last year. No guarantees we'll get the aircraft we want in July unless I missed something.

So what's the point prepaying for something  for early access when it is not ready ?  Or when  full planes early access is not announced

Strangely enough, besides the fact that you do (well, with BoS - did) get the planes early, it's actually fun to see the game being slowly rolled out. Each week, it was like a new gauge on the Lagg or the 109 was working! Oh the excitement when we got elevator/stabilizer trim! Sure, it's little things for little minds, but for me - at least - it's fun.

I can't wait to plonk my Maachi down at Pitomnik!

The point is that when you do get it you will get it earlier than those who did not pre order. I can't say for sure but I am thinking that the process for BoM will not be as long as it was for BoS and more time will be spent by EA buyers working out kinks than waiting for content.

I ask  cause I would be glad to get it early, and I  need to know what exactly I'll get  when it is to get it for the money I pay.

BoS is  really the best so far WWII sim out there , to my expectations as far as  gameplay and FM at the moment ( though some minor changes will make it better IMO), but if it is to get half planes working ( and I do not mean if an instrument works or not, but the whole plane) then I'd better wait.

I can't tell you when you will get what.. I do know that by the time BoS was released to the public in October.. we early access folks had all the planes before that. Early access started 11 months before the sim was released it was announced and made available for purchase 4 months before that. I have no idea how the roll out of BoM will be.. but I imagine it will be somewhat different if for no other reason than a lot of the core is already in place.. but that is speculation on my part.. If you want to get an idea of how BoS rolled out just do a forum search for early access.. then do the individual planes.. and you will be able to get a picture of how it went with BoS. No one can tell you exactly what you will get when.. stuff happens.. This is not etched in stone.. For me.. allI need to know is that I will get what I paid for, which is early access and a decent flight sim that will work on my PC.... and I will get it cheaper if I order today than later and I don't want to wait for a sale for it to come down.. so I know the trade off and I am cool with it...

Seawolf: You'll get all the planes in BoM as early access, as they become ready. Those who do not preorder (or who preorder too late) will get nothing at all before BoM is released in early 2016.

When I signed on for BoS early access there was just the LaGG-3 with no guns and not much to do except for fly circuits around the airfield and stall the plane. I'm sure this time around what we'll get will be more complete right from the start given those sub systems are already programmed in.

I believe Jason said something about the I-16 likely being the first plane available. We have heard that the I-16 would be a future plane even before BoM was announced so it may be further along than some of the others. I guess we'll see... with BoS it was a slow roll out of each plane and all of the features they offered. It was a great build up and neat to be part of the process. I was willing to pay into that and I'm willing to give it a go again... BoS was not a perfect release and it has issues (I keep saying it) but I keep seeing progress and I'm having fun playing BoS ... and I decided I'm willing to pre-order to jump onboard again.

But if you don't feel like you want to do that then its not a big deal either way.

Thanks for your replies I pretty much understood how it goes. It is likely to preorder, what's the latest date for that preorder inorder though to have the early access.?

P-40 won't be there in July, but it definitely comes with a minimal delay (according to most recent plans).

Do you know when is the I-16 scheduled to be released?  That would be the one thing that would tempt me to preorder.

I don't have any reservations about preordering BoM. As has been said earlier, with early access in BoS, there wasn't much to do but fly around in an unarmed Lagg and then a 109. Still it was enjoyable to me to watch the sim mature. I didn't expect perfection from the start and didn't get it. What I got was a chance to be there from the beginning. It was worth every penny to me and if BoM lives up to my expectations I'll gladly do it for the next installment of the series, wherever that may be.

I think Jason said it may be first. (Not 100% sure of that)

I think there's a good chance the MC. 202 might be first. It was the first new plane we saw WIP-shots of (before even the Ju 52 IIRC) and from the DDs we can see, that it's already up and flying in the sim itself (albeit most likely without a cockpit) and a lot of small intricate details like trim and the reverse throttle are already in place.

I have no doubt though, that the I-16 will be among the first (perhaps after one of the 'easier' ones like the Bf 109F2?) It was confirmed ages ago, before we knew about BoM and it's clearly coming along fine.

For all we know EA may be totally different from BoS EA. We may start out with a higher number of AC... I also think that the process will be faster than in BoS.

I doubt that a premium plane will be first. My money would be on the i16 or possibly the f2. I think it will will defo be a vvs first and then normally each plane was released with a counterpart from the opposing side the next time round

If you're hanging out particularly for one plane, be prepared to wait. The FW was the last plane released in the BOS early access.

Honestly Ace: During development I don't think the devs care that much about which planes are premium and which aren't. I think they'll release them in the order they are finished, though obviously aiming for releasing axis and Soviet planes alternating just to keep a bit of balance.

I a thinking that most of the fighters and the Pe will not have a long wait time. We have already seen WIP shots of most of them.
