Anyone Know How To Get Rpk/beacons Working?

Only option I can see regarding beacons is "beacon channel" on vehicles...namely the "ndb" entity that seems most appropriate for being a homing beacon for the RPK and the German counterpart device. I'm not sure what channel would specify which nation or how to specify which airfield/aircraft (in multiplayer) corresponds to what channel...anyone got any pointers?

~S~! AbortedMan,

Yes, I have some pointers. I wrote a whole wall of text earlier, and then decided to test out how it does actually operate "in BoS" MP. It's simply *face palm* 0=False, 1=True.

Sure enough it works! Make certain to include the Country alligiance is Russian with a placed ndb as a Linked Entity for the Lagg 5 and Yak 1 to make use of the Rpk-10.

Nothing else is required. Glad you brought this up as I can now make use of this feature in multiplayer mission design as well. Salute! -Jupp- :salute:

~S~ Everyone,

It stands sharing that although the Rpk-10 is an optional mod load out for the Lagg-5 and Yak-1, it is standard equipment on the Pe-2. It was an ah-ha moment to realize this recently. ~S~ :salute:

~S~ AM,

You know I was just thinking about this very thing too.

Which German aircraft are so equipped? The He-111 comes to mind...

He-111 and Stuka have the AFN-1, Bf 109F/G no - dont know Fw 190 (I dont have this), probable no.

Is this case the Bf 109/190 meet and escort a He 11 to guide then to home.

The He 111 Peilgerät needle in Radio Compass can be use too. The needle "P" is TO and "S" is "FROM.

~S~ Sokol,

Shame about the Fw-190a3 not having the AFN1, I checked, though it could have one fitted, as there's a perfect spot for one on the dashboard. And thanks for the information! ~S~ -Jupp- :salute:
