I keep coming across old posts, on other forums, talking about Grill Chompa's script packs and how cool they work.
Grille Chompa's site has been down for a long time and I was hoping one of you veteran IL-2 aficionados might still have them in your files.

Here is a link to Grille Chompa's old web page at the Internet Archive to help refresh you memory.

I highlighted the names that were used for the zip files in blue to help you find them in your files.

  • Iconscript download: Iconscript.zip (Cloyd @ M4T was generous enough to supply me with this one. :) )
This server script includes 7 presets for the mp_dotrange-options and additionally supplies the user with the possibility
to store it's preferred values in a file and with the execution of these linked to the existing script.
Additional information is to be found in attached script information.

  • Automatic mission cycling  download: Missioncyclescript.zip
This serverscript changes in-game time and the mission after a preset time-span.
Additional information is to be found in attached script information.

  • "Rata gearscript" download: Rata gearscript.zip
This script takes over the work of retracting and extending the landing gear of the I-16 "Rata".
Additional information is to be found in attached script information.

  • Timescript "Timesaver" download: Timescript.zip
This serverscript resets the in-game time every minute to a preset value stored in the script.
Thereby you may achieve the server to stay "morning forever".
Additional information is to be found in attached script information.

  • "Timelapse" download: Timelapsescript.zip
This serverscript changes the in-game time every minute adding 5 minutes.
Although this produces a small lag each and every time in the game the chosen period is a good compromise in favour of playability.
Using this script a whole "gameday" lasts only 4 hours servertime! You can use this script only when hosting a multiplayergame.
Additional information is to be found in attached script information.

Wow Brian... you really jogged my memory with that one. I remember using the rcu file to do all kinds of things from setting icons to automatically setting trim and wingfold and speedbar with one script.

So far no one has came back telling me they have these script packs in their files. I quit waiting and hoping they might turn up and started playing around with the RCU file and using it to call a script. It took some time for me to make heads or tails of how things worked and I have finally been able to get some things working using the RCU file. The scripts aren't all that sophisticated but they are working. What I was hoping to find with these script packs is all of the script code that worked, especially if you wanted to use the same code multiple times in a row. I called the "manual raise landing gear" 50 times in my script so the gear would retract all the way, I think 45 is the minimum necessary for them to retract all the way.

I even got BaldiJr's old blinking nav light script to work. I still can't shut it off once it starts or assign it to a specific aircraft either.

The fact that the forums change over at UBI messed up the post formatting didn't make his script any easier to figure out.

(And I used to think the old search function at UBI didn't work worth a hoot... )

Finding this post at 1C by Seeker is what finally helped me figure it out since the formatting is still correct.
