[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Our Sorties for the day started in the SYN Server as 3 of us formed up for a Bombing run on a Supply Deport. Unescort we found ourselves under attack approaching the Target Area. Target in sight and dialed in....Just 15 seconds more. It was not to be however. Absolutely stunning! They even model the heat refraction. 1
Leaf Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Ouch, that looks painful. I think it's modelled in RoF too, but yes, it's really well-done.
[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 BoS 3/1/2015 AAR DBS action flying Yaks on the =DED= Server. airdoc, Marta, T}{OR and Myself come across two unescorted Heinkels close to our factory south of Stalingrad. Scratch one Bandit! The "Pack" moves in on the leader. Mortally stricken by numerous slashing attacks. The bomber succumbs to the factories AA fire. 1
[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 (edited) The DBS crewe with Smurfy and Fox sorties on the "UK_1" server for an attack upon Gumrak... Nice First pass... This is just a great shot. Sometimes the graphics in this game outdo themselves... SPEKTRE76s' Galchenko 145 IAP gets a workout but got me home...Nice Skin. Edited April 8, 2015 by [DBS]Tx_Tip
AvengerSeawolf Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 (edited) Shot down in flames. Indeed this fire with heat refraction looks so goood And here is the track of it http://www.mediafire.com/download/9t0nm4k5cdzqled/track.zip Edited April 12, 2015 by AvengerSeawolf
Feathered_IV Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 The effect is very well done. It's been in Rise of Flight for some years and is very immersive in those close quarter actions. 1
johncage Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) lol a graphical effect that existed as far back as 2003 with lock-on modern air combat Edited April 14, 2015 by johncage 1
taleks Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 lol a graphical effect that existed as far back as 2003 with lock-on modern air combat BoS is not the first ever game to simulate such effects. But it looks pretty cool anyway.
johncage Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 (edited) i agree. but i feel it's best to have accurate perception about these things. always push forward, don't be too proud of achievements imho, many fans seem to gloat over tiniest things, i feel that is disservice imho. SeriousFox Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 (edited) Yeah I remember seeing heat blur effect on LOMAC. It was a frame rate killer though Edited April 27, 2015 by SeriousFox

OnTheHouse Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 (edited) IMHO, the only thing I've ever seen that is sharp/crisp in winter is the ice crystals that form on things.....generally though, the whole landscape is just one big white dull blur. I don't see why we need detailed trees, for they too would be just covered in snow-ice. My point is that the whole winter-scape could be dulled down, giving the user an even higher frame rate. The image you posted has been removed because it contained a swastica. In the future please place images with swasticas under a spoiler tag. If you can no longer edit this thread send me the pic and I will put it in for you. Edited May 22, 2015 by Bearcat Swastica
josephine Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 (edited) But it is already there CuMelter. Have you flown the campaign? Most of the time you are flying in bad weather - low clouds, fog everywhere... Complain at your mission maker (or the general player community since they often start disconnecting once less-than-perfect conditions appear in the map rotation). Edited May 22, 2015 by josephine 1
OnTheHouse Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Yeh, I spent the weekend looking into the online campaign. I'm up to a '5' now....whooohooo! Got some unlocks, etc-
