Simicro Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Hi, Would it be possible to scroll and zoom the map with keys? Currently one has to scroll with the mouse and zoom with the central button. If it were possible to use keys to scroll and zoom the map, that would be easier to map those functions to a joystick or throttle for convenience. 1
Jade_Monkey Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Pretty good idea. I'm not sure if it's possible, but mapping it all to the HOTAS sounds like a step in the right direction.
SharpeXB Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 There's a utility called JoyToKey http://joytokey.net/en/ It might help conver the mouse axis movements to key presses.
Simicro Posted December 6, 2014 Author Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) Hi guys, Thanks for your interest. @CBZ2323: as far as I know, currently it's not possible and my message is towards the devs @SharpeXB: it's a long time I have not used JoyToKey. Good reminder. I knew JoyToKey can emulate keyboard but I was not aware it can emulate mouse movements and clicks. Actually I could program my CH Throttle ministick to emulate the mouse and the central button to achieve srolling and zooming the map but it is not always accurate. Hence my request to the devs to have keys supported in the game. Also that would be useful for folks who do not have a ministick on their HOTAS. Edited December 6, 2014 by Simicro
