Works for me. Try updating the games list or go exclusive mode - there's quite a bit of discussion about this in the latest patch thread.

Check games update and soft update. After that reset game and track ir then it should run again.

Can installations of TiR software v.5 and v.4 co-exist on the same PC if only one runs at the time? Consider backing up your TiR 4 installation, installing TiR 5 and using v5 software for BoS and v4 for all other games. Maybe creating different Windows user profiles and instaling v5 for one profile only. It's messy, like all workarounds, but could work without forcing you to use v.5 in sims where v.4 suffices.

TIR 3 running v4 updated software with 6DOF Vector upgrade no longer works in BOS.

 

TIR 3 will not run V5 software therefore I am unable to use TIR at all. Hopefully this issue will be fixed because I am not inclined to purchase a $120 piece of hardware that I already own to fix an update.

 

I'll check back for the next update, I hope it doesn't take too long.....

Hmm - I'm using my old TIR3 hardware with vector expansion (6DoF) with the TIR 5.2 software (have been for years, since version 5 came out and I upgraded from version 4 way back when) and it works just fine with both BoS and RoF.

 

It did stop working with the new BoS patch/update at first.  However, I just used the TIR menu commands to "check for game updates", which it did, and then closed TIR and restarted it.  Then started BoS, and it works just fine like it did before.

 

I am still having CTDs and Esc key bugs with the new BoS update, unfortunately, but as far as I can tell that's got nothing to do with TIR.

Tested and it seems to work ok. When you open TR program check in the upper right corner for a icon that say " update games" or something like that . Update and restart TR program. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

I did the Check for Game List Updates.  Restarted TrackIR.  Use a personal profile.

I can't find BOS in the list of games in the TrackIR profiles and the profile I created for ROF no longer loads when I start BOS (it worked before.)  What name does BOS use when searching for a profile?

 

I've got the latest TrackIR 5 software and the game list is up to date.

seems to be bugged, also in game default recenter camera views do not work. I had to reinstall BOS. Track ir v5.2.2 works but it is seeing ROF as IL-2Sturmovik battle of stalingard, and ROF no longer works with v5.2.2 track ir software.

 

so Im going back to V4.2.39 4 pro software. and can not play BOS until this is sorted.

TrackIR still works for me in game but it's loading the default combat flight profile, not the BOS specific one I created.  I don't know which profile I need to load the BOS profile into as BOS is not listed in the game titles list and ROF no longer works (it's where I loaded the BOS profile previously and it worked up until now.)  I don't want to run my BOS profile globally by setting it as exclusive.  Where should I load my BOS profile?

I haven't tried any sort of auto-detection/auto-loading function for TIR before, so I don't know if that would work on my rig or not.  I use the same profile for RoF and BoS and just tick it as exclusive, and it works fine for me in both BoS (post 1.004) and RoF.  

 

If ticking it as exclusive works for BoS, is it really that big a deal to do that for BoS and then untick it after you finish playing if you want to use other profiles for other games?  (at least as a workaround?)

No, it's not a big deal.  Yes, it is an annoyance. So again I ask "Which game title should I select in the TrackIR games list in order to be able to load my BOS profile and have it work in game without having to resort to turning exclusive profiles on and off?"  If you don't know, please refrain from suggesting using exclusive profile loading.  I'd rather not have to piddle around with this when I switch between games that use different profiles.

Update...... after running the game update on the top right of the Track ir software my Track ir works again, thanks for the tips, looks like it is not working for everyone though, too bad... Im sure the Devs will fix it..

OpenTrack works fine. The problem is only with the old Freetrack program.

 

I'd suggest anyone still using Freetrack switch to OpenTrack. In addition to being actively developed, it has an equivalent feature to TrackIR's "Trueview" (called "translation compensation"), so that translations work properly when looking over your shoulder. I'm not positive, but I believe a helper application is needed to accomplish this with Freetrack. I know that FacetrackNoIR has no equivalent at present.
