Hi Everybody,

 

We present you the fresh update for IL2BOS, the change log follows below.

But before you read it, please pay attention to the following: Update 1.004 resets all settings and control bindings. We recommend you not to use the config files from older versions. Keeping those may cause unpleasant consequences which we'd like you to avoid.

 

The change log for v.1.004 is as follows:

 

1. German localization added;

2. The menu of radio commands, gestures and commands to gunner added, use ~ to open it;

3. Fixed game crashes that happened while closing the application;

4. Fixed game crashes in Campaign;

5. Fixed game crashes when completing a mission in Campaign;

6. TrackIR driver should now load the game profile automatically;

7. A key to switch base level between pressure on the friendly airfield and the standard pressure level (LAlt + A);

8. More detailed controls for bombs and rockets added: salvos (LWin+B , LWin+R) and series (LCtrl+B) of dropping and launching are controllable; all available options depend on the plane (functionality for the bombsight will be added later);

9. Indicators of remaining bombs added to planes that did have it;

10. Animation of buttons for releasing bombs and launching rockets added;

11. Separate controls for inlet cowl shutters on the La-5 engine added (LCtrl+Minus / LCtrl+Equals);

12. Armored vehicle BA-10М added;13. Anti tank cannon ZIS-2 added;

14. Background color on German instruments was corrected according to the standard;15. Ju 87 3D model visual bug corrected;

16. The AI should now correctly estimate the amount of remaining fuel so it’ll be enough for them to return home;

17. AI landing procedure has been fixed for the cases when they are damaged or require fuel;

18. Spotter is giving orders for assault planes and bombers first in the interception missions;

19. Spotter stops tracking the targets that leave it’s zone of coverage;

20. Turret gun cooling fixed, now it depends on the plane’s flight speed;

21. Fuel consumption of Ju 87 and He 111 fixed;

22. Max speed of manual stabilizer repositioning on Bf 109 was reduced to last 5 seconds;

23. Detached plane parts keep all the details as they were before the part was torn off of the aircraft (aerial brakes, bomb hatches, gears, etc.);

24. Hitting turret gun weapons should have a correct visual effect now;

25. Taxing on the Kotelnichesky airfield fixed in the Campaign’s 3rd chapter;

26. Watermark with the game logo and nickname was removed from the upper left corner;

 

Update 1.004 also includes the hot-fix for 1.003:

 

27. Ground attack planes should now spawn correctly in corresponding interception missions;

28. Hitting utmost spans of bridges should now be counting as proper hits in Campaign;

29. Starting a mission with overheated machineguns and engine was fixed in Campaign;

30. Stats counter fixed in Campaign;

31. Dserver has a 32 players limit;

32. Dserver automatically turns the Win OS “High power” when launched;

33. Damaged and detached bomb hatches now look correctly on IL-2;

34. All damage visuals should now be preserved on all plane’s parts, including the detached ones;

35. A damaged turret remains that way when a new player takes place in it in MP;

36. Sequence of reading preset config files fixed.

I have tried all the suggestions, I believe it to be a control hot key issue but tried to default that and still didn't work. all other games track ir works no problem, was working 1.003.

TIR 3 with Version 4.2.039 6 DOF Vector upgrade no longer recognized by game on initialization after V 1.004 update. Works in other games. Suggested "update" fixes have no effect.

 

Dead in the water here. Let us know if you have a fix, otherwise I am looking at more than the price of BOS to be able to play it again.

I had russian text in english version during mission. And interface sounds played on backround during a campaign mission.

same Russian language is on English exit and messages.

 

also none of the default reset camera views work. I can not recenter my views.

Same with the text and also now game crashes every time i close it.

And also I think it is putting more of a strain on my system than the previous version.

TIR5, no longer functions in the game, since the introduction of V1.004. Please prioritise the re-establishment of this function, as it has ruined a very good game.

Yes, you guys have to bring back support for the V 4.2.039 software!! My TrackIR 3 doesn't work with the V5 software, as  i don't have the vector expansion and V5 forces TrackIR 3 users to get them!!! So far,,,thanks to your new TrackIR support, i can't use my TrackIR any longer :/ I am grounded! I hope i don't have to get a TrackIR4 unit for another 120,00 € in order to be able to fly again.

The rotary buttons on my Saitek Rhino x-55 throttle stick stopped working since the last update. The system doesn't recognize these rotaries anymore when trying to put a button command in settings.

I really need those buttons to function, using em for mixture and prop..

Any of you got the same issue? Any advice?

I have a TrackIR 3 with the Vector Expansion (6DoF) and software v5.1.300 Final.  After I updated the Game List in TrackIR, BOS v1.004 works fine.  To get back up and running a $25 investment may be worth it to buy the Vector Kit.  This would also extend the life of your TrackIR.  Mine is about 9 years old.  The upgrade of software is of course free.

Its not only the rotary switches stop working!

Same for toggle ones also! I had few toggle switches (on-off) and they are programmed to give one signal in on position and another for off!

Since reliese of the game its no loger possible to use them in this way! Its seems that the game couldnt devide the different signals if the gap between them is too smal (if i move or swithc the key from on to off and vice versa very slow it is working, but if i do quick click - clack - doesn't!

Axes from other units cant be reversed!

Noticed yesterday that I couldn't load any pre-004 recordings. Anyone has that issue ?

 

( no big deal though, just happened to be running some visuals tests and becomes easier with recordings )
