Quax Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 The forcefeedback axis of the MS FFB2 is "swapped" by default. IL2 BoS and RoF swap them automatically, when Windows reports a "Sidewinder FFB2". In DCS f.e. the swapping has to be done manually by checking a "swap axis" checkbox. But, if windows is reporting "8 button, 4 axis joystick" instead of "FFB2" IL2 BoS can´t swap the axis, and the stick is useless. Is there a way to report the "swap axis" to IL2 BoS via any setup or init file ? 1
SYN_Repent Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 i also have this problem, would be great we could get some help with it.
Sokol1 Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 (edited) In BoS control GUI, selecting: Plane control: pitch > and move joystick axis for assign - if the logical Y result inverted for this function, assign X. Plane control: roll > same Or editing axis names in "Current.actions" file,m and changing the axis letter: rpc_pitch, joy0_axis_y, 0| // Plane control: pitch rpc_roll, joy0_axis_x, 0| // Plane control: roll Don't result practical? Joy0 or Joy1... depends on number of joysticks/pedal/throttle connected and how they are listed by Windows. Edited October 5, 2016 by Sokol1
yeikov Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 (edited) I had a very similar issue with a racing wheel in Windows 10 due to its automatic drivers update (wrong name shown in Windows device list, axis not working properly). To solve it, I did: - go to Control Panel > Devices and printers - right click on your malfunctioning joystick device (whatever name it has) and select Properties > Hardware - Select "USB input device" from the list and click on Properties - Click on Change configuration to be able to make changes in the new window - Go to Driver tab and select Update Driver > Search manually (lower option) > Choose from list (lower option) > Select "USB input device" from the list, and click Next That did it for me, it's worth to try. Quax Posted October 7, 2016 Author Posted October 7, 2016 Sokol, this does not help, as the FFB force is swapped, not the axis.
BlackDevil Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 (edited) I have the same problem, making the great stick useless. I have to fly without force Edited October 7, 2016 by BlackDevil
