Really great map and a nice change from the official map with the more naturally looking settlements.

And not to forget the new map objects, will they be available later on in the FMB?

Into the crurent state it probably miss an airspawn just for bombers, the actual size is making climbing hard for He , pe 2 , ju and il2.

Yeah, a map set in the autumn of 42 or spring 43 would be great.

Agreed, Novossokolniki (gee, I even learned to type the bloody name) is absolutely gorgeous to look at. I love the variation in vegetation and the train station just adds so much more immersion!

The guys who made this map are true artists.

For those of us that can't see it right now...  I always thought the Stalingrad map looks great.  I see that Chuck in the post above has made some comments as to why it just "works"...  Can anyone else expound or share some screenshots?

Yeah very nice, the thought struck me when whizzing over it at 30 meters just how many bloody trees are in it!

Reckon it would be a perfect ringer for Finland too - all we'd need would be a Brewster 339, Blenheim 1 and some early Soviet bombers like the SB's and a whole new theatre would open up!

Yes indeed, it really is beautifully crafted.  Congratulations to the team.  I wonder what you'll come up with next?

What more can I say, apart from 'Thank you'. This map is so organic. It must have taken soooo much time and effort.

And I agree with PantsPilot that it'd be a great stand in for Finland. Mind you, I made a Battle of Britain campaign on an Eastern Front map in which the LW flew southeast to reach England, so maybe I'm not the guy to be talking.

Is this release not the "Lapino" of the full Velikiye Luki "Stalingrad size" map..with more new objects and larger cities.. :) so in a way we have a good idea of something to come ;)

Cheers Dakpilot

There are a couple of videos showing it on youtube:

How to start a home?

How to start a home?
From the picture in your primer,
With good and faithful comrades,
Living in neighbouring yard,

And may she begins
With the song that she sang the mother of us all,
With that in any tests
We have no one to Rob.

How to start a home...
With the cherished bench at the gate,
With the birches that in the field
In the wind bowing, is growing.

And may she begins
With spring запевки Starling
And from this road dirt,
Where no end in sight.

How to start a home...
With Windows burning away,
With the old paternal буденновки,
That somewhere in the closet,we have found,

And may she begins
With knocking trains wheels,
And with an oath, which in his youth
You are her in his heart brought.

How to start a home...

1968

Haha the best part of the map is suicidal he 111 pilots taking off and going tree top level to the Russian base and being chopped down by the anti air :D I love it

Hey all,

i realise this new format of map has just been released but if anyone knows how to get a HD large copy (A3) of this map for download, print out and laminate, it'd really help with navigation.

Cheers

I'll simply say that I appreciate the work on the new content.  I'll reserve my comments about the landscape for another thread.   Thank you for the hard work guys.
