Hi guys. Not sure who is the author of this dynamic campaign program? I still use it and it's great, you don't know if the author in question would be able to make a new version for new planes and expanded campaigns. That would be terrific. :)

We had a look at it.

 

Created by "Skatech Research Lab" 1998-2012.  Do you have any further information on it or the creator?

 

How have you been using it?  Have you built missions or campaigns or do you know someone who has?

I downloaded the program from the ATAG website a long time ago, but it's been many years. I don't know the author and I didn't create anything. I just installed it and played. 

Just now when it is installed, it must be added to the Blitz installation line (because it was originally for the old CoD) and it runs smoothly.

I invite all fans of dynamics and randomness to test. This is a pre-alpha version, a lot has not yet been implemented, or it works in a simplified form, but is already quite stable and flyable.
Basic moments:
- Multiple careers in one operation, in the air you can meet a character from a parallel career.
- There are no predefined events, no mission will ever be repeated twice.
- Economy (repair, replacement of aircraft and equipment requires resources).
- Tracking ground units, active front.
- Tracking the status and achievements of pilots (increase in experience, ranks, death, captivity).
- All settings through the game interface, no configs and text files.

The game menu is located: Single player - Air Warfare
Install in the folder: ... \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover \ parts \ AirWarfare \

If the system is weak, you can adjust the number of groups in the main mission, the frequency and chances of generating additional groups:
Settings > General > Master Mission Options (Groups Min и Groups Max)
Settings > General > Submission Generation (Period и Chance)

AirWarfare Setup 0.4.190.15.rar - when updating, the "Remove or replace active operations" option in the installer must be enabled.

Updated to version 0.4.190.15
- Values of courage and discipline are separated from the main experience, and are calculated individually at the birth of a pilot using the Gaussian normal distribution method.
- Morale level is monitored in squadrons. It falls in case of losses, rises in case of victories, and gradually normalizes to the average value if nothing happens. A high level of morale proportionally increases the values of pilots' courage at the time of departure, a low level of morale decreases it. Squadrons with low morale values do not participate in missions.
- Fixed default installation path on 64-bit systems (thanks to Atas).
- Completely removed the quarry mechanism, added a page for choosing a pilot. Now, in order to move to any pilot, a few clicks of the mouse are enough (make sure that the craft of the selected squadron is flyable).
- Improved and fixed algorithms for calculating the distance to the front line, assigning routes to ground units, priority selection of ground targets for strike, placing more experienced pilots in German fighter squadrons by the leading.
- Removed some of the debug messages in the game log.

- Fixed the algorithm for the control of airfields (there was a small chance of collision of groups on the GDP).
- Adjusted ground units, during the mission you can view their states through the user menu.
- Improved the algorithm for placing pilots inside squadrons, and disassembling them into flights / pairs / triplets before departure. In German fighter staffs, a more experienced pilot is always at the head of flights and steam, in all others - a senior in rank / position.
- The base experience of pilots can now grow above one. The parameters of courage and discipline are doubled, the parameter difficult aerobatics is halved relative to the main skill.
- Introduced adjustment of the range of experience for new pilots entering combat units from flight schools.
- Introduced a separate setting of supply volumes for each side (it is possible to compensate for some imbalances in the game balance associated with the high efficiency of the player).

- Improved algorithm for selecting units for different types of tasks, with metrics and probabilities. For example, for a bomb attack on a convoy of ground vehicles, first of all, a unit equipped with attack aircraft (chance 1.0) or fighter-bombers (chance 0.6) will be chosen, and only if none of the first stage was found - units equipped with bombers or other types of aircraft will be used ...

Ok, we have looked at this and yes, it does work with BLITZ.

 

However TF cannot take control of this  program and add it to the game as it was created by a third party... and therefore TF does not have copyright.

 

We'd need the third party who created it to come forward and either give TF the rights to use it or start supporting it again.

 

That being said, anyone who wants to create campaigns with it obviously can do what they want... and post those campaigns on this forum or others.

 

That being said, we already have an excellent third party DCG created by theOden which is being supported and updated on this forum.

Well I took the risk and installed it, and besides the almost impossible to read font colour and typical clod menu style this is bloody impressive. Shame I know nowt about coding because I would love to attempt to bring this upto date.

The developer's nick was octocat. shukoi seemed to have made a clear cut in 2014 to a new forum. If the author could create the existing DCG, he doesn't need anything from TF to continue.

 

And anyone else who wants to modify or continue work with the program does not need permission from TF... it is a third party program which does not need Source Code access.
