Happy Birthday!

I'll try to answer "What was my very first taste of virtual air combat in a video game? Name the title and system." I'm going to say Tiger Heli on the NES.

Thanks to you and the team for making such a fun game. I've enjoyed hundreds of hours playing with friends (new and old). I love spending time in the mission editor making missions for my buddies.

I'd love to see a Battle of Italy or Battle of Sicily (or both) in 1943 with some more naval elements added.

Would love to have someday in some product, but no one to build it.

You get one question Thor.

Jason

Everyone,

Thank you for your birthday wishes I really appreciate them. I have to go work on some other projects the rest of the day and then go piss away my tax refund at the tables. LOL

There are still a couple trivia questions left to answer to win some free stuff. See original post.

Enjoy the rest of the sale! I'll do a podcast soon with Shamrock and follow up on some of these topics in more detail.

Jason

I wish you a happy birthday! Can you expect either a Cr-42, Iar-80.81, or Avia B 534 aircraft?

Hi Jason, Happy Birthday!!

I have a question: Do you think DX12 will be advantageous to the sim in its current state or is it not worth the hassle of moving on from DX11?

Also to answer your question:
 - What was my very first taste of virtual air combat in a video game? Name the title and system.
F-15E Strike Fighter on an IBM PC.

You get one question. 🙂 I hope to have torpedoes eventually, but for what aircraft?

Ju88A-17, would fit BoN perfectly!

It shouldn't be much work for your team since it is modified version of already ingame ju88A-4.

You said some cool collector planes could fill Normandy......B-25 and Ju88a17 TaaaDaaaaa 😁

Happy birthday Jason!🍻

Happy Birthday! Thanks for taking the time to do this!

Question: Any chance of time acceleration becoming a little more, well, accelerated?  Or, dare I say it (dare, dare!) a blast from the past good ol' "skip to the next waypoint" feature being implemented?

edit: just realized one too many questions, so let's go with the first one - anything that can be done to help current time acceleration?

You can't answer a question with an answer. Please give final answer.

Jason

My final answer is Afterburner.

*This is correct. I loved the arcade cockpit of Afterburner in the late 80s and early 90s. So much fun.

Ver happy to hear fuel mgmt/ droptanks mentioned more than once. I've been looking forward to it for a long time since it was mentioned by the devs.

It will be fundamental for the Normandy map and i just like the small complexity added.

Felicitations on the anniversary of the successful conclusion of your gestation!

Yeah, I can't just say 'happy birthday' normally.

I don't have any questions. That's my birthday gift to you.

I hope you have better luck at the casino than I had in my one gambling excursion. I had beginner's luck for all of about ten minutes, then nosedived from there.

Happy Birthday Jason! Enjoy your time in the casino.

My question of the day: Do you intend to rework the "artificial lighting" effects ingame to match with the new improved visuals.

By "artificial lighting" I refer to the Navigation lights, tracers, etc. which can be visible at times when they really shouldn't.

Sorry Jason, I couldn't resist and dare to ask the last question.  Is it possible for airships to appear in our game within 5 years?  is it even theoretically possible now?  There has never been a single game in history where you could control an airship very realistically.

April 6 1017 the United States declares war on Germany and enters WWI

Legend has it that the Hostess Twinkie was invented April 6 1930.

Salute Jason, Happy Birthday!
I began my "career" with a simple TK-85 program which have a black screen with some numbers on lowest row, and just two lines in the distance representing a runway and sometimes a mountain. 1980's.
Few years later, on PC, it was a file called jet.exe (DOS), with planes made with simple outlines, no filling.  Mind you it was a glamorous PC-XT 4.88 Mhz.
After this, all the way up until today, passing thru almost anything flying sim related.

Getting old mate ;) ..and nearly in your prime!

As for this question, I'm going to go with the classic Afterburner .. - What was my favorite air combat arcade game in an actual coin-op arcade? Name the title.

I'm going to go with the classic Afterburner.  For those times when you had money to burn and wanted to be Maverick, great game at the time it was too.

Just read through the thread and see this has already been thrown out there and is in limbo from the original guy,  still, great game 😄

The IJN Yamato left Japan on a one-way mission to Okinawa. The following day it was sunk by American aircraft. Also on that day was the aerial ramming of American bombers by the Sonderkommando Elbe.

If you're still answering questions, is there any possibility that the Stalingrad city will see any love? Compared with the newer building tech, it looks a little sad. :cray:

Very nice of you! :)

I myself don't need it, but we still have a few members of our squad that do not own BoBp. I could then send you a forum nick of one of those that fly regularly  if that's fine with you.
