palker4 29
Regarding the crashes, I did not have any during the event but when watching the track from that one flight when almost all of the blenheim pilots had CTD I have CTD while watching this track. No idea what went wrong but it sure looks like something went wrong with the game. Anyway here are some picture from the first Blenheim raid.

4SCT_CR42Falco 27
One always learns something new: didn't know Blenheims carried bombs as external loads! Anyway referring to crashes I got one and on one instance I was alone where there should have been a flight of Blenheims and there was a lone Blenheim floating in midair like a balloon with slight nose down attitude and without moving an inch. Else than that I had a great time 3 minutes ago, 343KKT_Kintaro said: Must be a typo. Most likely the 20th of February. Of course, just joking

ITA_Cipson 243
COMMUNICATION TO ALL PILOTS: TOBRUK 1940 AIR WAR - TEAM FUSION & ITALIANWING SATURDAY February 20th h 21:00 Rome Time ( 20:00 GMT) HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND DETAILED BRIEFING Mission 2: "BUQ BUQ"I° Sollum Battle - Lybia . 13 September 1940 (Historical) "On 13 September 1940, the Italian 1st Division CC.NN. "March 23" recapture Forte Capuzzo and a bombing hit Musaid, just beyond the Egyptian border. Artillery fire and bombing began on the barracks (which was empty) and on the Sollum airfield, raising a cloud of sand. When the sand fell, the Italian army could be spotted, ready to advance against the British cover forces formed by the 3rd Coldstream Guards Company. The Italians advanced along the coast with two divisions behind a screen of motorcyclists, tanks, motorized infantry, and artillery. The Italian units were an easy target for artillery and aircraft, however, the 1st Libyan Division "Sibelle" soon occupied the Sollum barracks and continued towards the city port, and subsequently heading along the coast towards Buq-Buq. On the inland plain, an Italian advance towards Halfaya Pass was slowed by a force composed of the 3rd Company Coldstream Guards, a platoon of Northumberland Fusiliers and artillery. They held the position until they were forced to retreat by the arrival of further Italian reinforcements. In the night, two columns from the 2nd Libyan Division "Pescatori", the 63rd Division "Cirene" and the "Maletti" Group, from Musaid, and the 62nd "Marmarica" Division, from Sidi Omar, converged on the pass. During the day that followed, Italian units began to descend from the pass, towards other Italian forces advancing from Sollum. Troops from the 11th Hussar Regiment, the 2nd Fusiliers Brigade and the 1st Regiment Royal tanks slowed down the maneuvers of the Italians again. The British retreated to Alam Hamid on 15 September and Alam el Dab the following day, attempting to inflict maximum casualties and damaging the road behind them as much as possible..." _________________________________________________HISTORICAL NOTE: "If you asked me... what does the defeat of the 10th Italian Army in Libya represent more..."? I would answer: this Order". (Gen. Porro) War aviation in Libya was grouped together in the V Squadra Aerea led by General Felice Porro. In the reports from Historical Diary of the Supreme Command he wrote about a "weird function" for the air force in Libya: the anti-tank role. The troops of the Regio Esercito didn't have efficient guns against medium tanks and heavy enemies (and they didn't even have armor-piercing shells). The only solution found by the High Commands of Rome was to give directives to the air squadrons stationed in Libya to "cooperate in a manner profitable with the ground forces in anti-tank function"...
