EVENT - Operation Mirror - Saturday 17 Oct, 1930 GMT

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

This weekend's event see's a return to the Desert Wings Tobruk map!!

This is our first event showcasing and encouraging players to take part in ground attack sorties.

TFS's 69th Spiritus's recent addition to the Team Fusion Server 3 missions, the outstanding Operation Mirror, will be the setting for this weekends event.

This mission has a large amount of ground attack targets and plenty of anti aircraft defence units doing everything they can to stop you hitting your target.
Many players no doubt will be going in search of two well known opposing Generals, last seen somewhere in the map. big%20smile.gif

Full mission briefings for both Blue and Red teams, can be found in the link below.

TFS's Pattle will be livestreaming the event on our YouTube channel, featuring ground attack sorties from both sides.

Our event regularly regularly reach full player capacity, so encourage everyone to jump in as soon as the map is up.

Hope to see you all there.

TFS Team

Happy to go back to the Tobruk map but is there a list of what will be flyable on each side? I've downloaded the briefings but these don't make any mention of it.

As the mission is supposed to be set in April 1941 I expect there will be CR.42s, Gladiators, G.50s, Bf109Es, Bf110Cs, early Tomahawks and early Hurricanes as fighter (bomber) options?

I like a planeset like this.

as far as I have seen flying it so far - everything is available same as all the other Tobruk missions. There was also wellingtons in April41 +blennies (I know they are just a target to you :) ), only hurris mk1 (and them without bombs)  and arguably as jg27 first 2 gruppen turned up mid April41 (according to my history med air war vol1 at least) then 50% chance no e7s either (depending on when in April its dated).

Be nice to see limited planes (even if it means losing my beloved beaufighter - although they were flying in theatre from Malta).

incredible every time, seen yours, pattles and flares videos of those many attacks on the troop concentrations (first 12mins or so of yours), how none of you got Montgomery's small little vehicle nestled down in there. It just seemed to bear a charmed life throughout.
