What's Your Cockpit Photo?

Recommended Posts

I'll show you my cockpit if you'll show me yours!

This is my St. Bernard and faithful companion, Valdimir. He is also the navigator!

I use this poster, cropped of course.

World War II Propaganda (1940s). British Naval Poster (20" X 30 ...

Just noticed this one though (Fulmars!) and might end up using this in the Second World War types.

It took some research. Is this the one?

That is actually a different person reenacting one of Chloe des Lysses's more famous poses.

Argentinian RAF Pilot Maureen Dunlop, in all my fighters i use.

She flew Spitfires, P-51's, Typhoons, Wellingtons, and D.H Mosquito as well. Later she was instructor for RAF and the FAA (Fuerza Aérea Argentina) after the war

Beautiful pic.

I try to match the nationality of the woman to the plane; or a close approximation. I've got a no-name British actress in my Spitfire, a Russian model in my Yak and La-5, etc. I only use contemporary pictures, but I try to make them look semi-plausibly retro in style, and always edit them into grayscale. Here's my German photo:

I use two version of the same photo-session of Björk's first album, depending on the plane's cockpit.

[Björk-tastic pictures were here]

Never thought I'd see Björk serve as a WWII pinup. Nothing wrong with her, mind you; they're nice pics, especially the second one. But still, unexpected.

Ah, the wonders of the internet.

Well, I am, me in 2020, "flying" a Spitfire or a Mustang in 1940-45 and with a computer+VR headset, so... one more anachronism or not...  :D

If you're asking me, she might as well be doing most of the talking on the radio...

You leave Björk alone! She just has a very... um... distinctive... singing voice.

Oh.  I listen to that a lot.  Good programming there. Not a lot of ads either. 😁
