It is like a advanced version of QMB missions, more freedom in the way it can be played. It is based on the campaign i made previously, set in the same timeline, one year after the events of the "Exile" campaign. Non historical missions by IronK, inspired by games like "Strike Commader" or "Interstate 76" http://www.mediafire.com/file/da0b1kn7b0a6bd3/ExileTheDiaries.zip/file Map: IL2 - Battle of Stalingrad Available Planes: Bf109 F4 (BOS) / BF 109 G4 (BOK) / Bf109 G6 (Collector Plane) / BF109 G14 (BoBP) / FW 190A5 (BOK) / P51 / SpitfireX / Tempest (BoBP) You play a freelancer pilot, flying in the desolated remains of the former soviet union. Everyday tasks have a focus on bomber escort and delivery missions but other missions like airfield attack, bandit hunting, scramble, recon/search, A-G attack missions are also possible. Different versions (Plane types) included. At mission start you find yourself parked on you home airfield. A few seconds later you get your mission objective shown via subtitle (make sure to activate hud/H-key). Missions description has information regarding befriended airfield locations and info. Mission mechanics (Update): - you get mission objectives via Subtitles at the beginning of the mission - mission end successful when you fulfill objectives and land / park on your home airfield - missions counts as successful when objectives are fulfilled and you land/ crash land in the vicinity of your home airfield - You can freely choose your aircraft mods, by default aircraft has A-G armament, since you cant change load out in mission and you dont know which kind of mission you get - if you get a mission were bombs / rockets arent needed, discard/drop them on your parking spot, same for rockets (P51) - friendly airfields have AAA and RRR stations, make use of them if you are outnumbered, or need refuel / rearm - home airfield has wing man available if needed, just make a close flyby by the tower, "Top Gun" style , wing man spawns on runway -> useful when you wish to take wing man on mission, or need assistance when chased home by enemy fighters - Wingman can also be activated by taxiing to runway at home airfield, just taxi to the bomb crator next to the runway, Wingman will spawn at the end of runway - Enemy AI planes are set random, on random locations and times, some missions you encounter none, other missions 4 or 6 planes > make use of AAA and RRR of friendly airfields if ammunition/fuel/repair/ "extra" guns are needed. Update 1.01: - Mission variants for FW 190A5, Bf 109G4, Spitfire X and Tempest added - 2 more escort missions added - changes in randomization logic Update 1.02 - Bf 109G14 misson added - added 2 more variants of scramble mission - changes in mission randomization - corrections in subtitle describtions This mission is quite fun to play and offers a lot of freedom and replay value for a SP mission. Many thanks👌 That was exactly what i was missing, something that is more than QMB, but not a full campaign. New planes are no big deal, working on a new version with a few more escort missions, will include Spit and Tempest versions 👍 Link to post Share on other sites

These sort of missions should be implemented in the QMB. The other important thing for me is the single player immersion , my computers really not up to large missions or campaigns I never get more than 22 FPS! But Thanks to the Devs efforts this always slightly improves with the game updates ( I don't know how they manage it!) This mission is a godsend and it doesn't seem to matter to me that your some times fighting against a Yak or a P40 , Mustang when your in a Spit , the immersion takes care of that. Basically you and your crew against the other factions of western cowboys and russian hired guns. Unfortunatly it isnt possible to create 3 different coalition, so that you would encounter russian and american fighting, while at the same time seeing you as opponent too. With Spitfire I had to deliver a package, landed, parked near green flare. Rearmed and refueled, but then when starting the engine up again I could not move the throttle past 5-10%. Is it a bug with a game? Happened to me in other mission. Then I tried to fly with P51, got a mission when two Soviet planes attack allied airfield. Shot down one of them, then the second one ran away and shortly jumped out with a parachute. Am I too scary? Then I landed my P51 back in the main base and rearmed and refueled, started to taxi to the runway and the mission suddenly ended with "Success" status. Is it how it supposed to happen? I was a bit of disappointed because I wanted to continue receiving other random missions Anyway, I hope you add Soviet planes as well. Glad you like it - The problem with the throttle sounds like a bug to me. Regarding RRR at home airfield, when you taxi to your parking position the mission ends (if you fullfilled mssion objectives). If we have an event for landing and take off (not sure), we can activate a trigger to randomize activation of any other random mission, right? Lets say you complete 1. objective and trigger 2. mission, second mission fails, should just 2nd mission count or the one that ended successfull or only both? I am sure its doable with logic counters, but its note the main focus i had. My intend was just to create a QMB like mission that simulates a sorti/day with some variety and random objectives and AI encounters. Link to post Share on other sites

Edit: I found a post saying to delete the .msnbin file and that did the trick. Fun missions. I hope you add some more aircraft like the P-40, Hurricane, and some of the Soviet birds. But I found out that last update/re-save broke AI mechanics, regarding the escort missions. AI bomber proximity is triggered right when mission is generated (you also shot green flare) so Bomber already heads for destination airfield while you are still sitting on the airfield. I've only had that mission once so far- bomber and an escort spawned in the air but I spun out while taxiing and wrecked my propeller so I don't know if he waited for me. taffy2jeffmorgan 108 Posted January 18 Share Posted January 18 I remember when "Exile" first became available, downloaded installed as instructed, flew it and had a lot of fun, but "Exile Diaries" is proving a problem. I'm following the installation path [Battle of Stalingrad/data/missions and it installs, but when I try to open any mission I get the message " mission description is loading " and the nothing happens ? Someone also posted that they were having some problem and that it meant deleting [ msnbin file ] ? Link to post Share on other sites
