Here is my interpretation of this escape:

I do not compare the a/c in different simulators. I just pick the opportunity to live through an adventure in VR. And IL-2 is unrivaled in FPS, smoothness and varity of aircraft of WWII.

I feel at home in the cockpits in VR.

Your missions are always fun and I can create my own stories without sticking too much to the original description.

So thanks again for your wonderful work on creating them.

Here is my latest interpretation of one of your missions with the P-51 over Cologne:

Thanks a lot and congrats for your new PC. Have a lot of fun with it.

Me too, I don't fly MP. Just love to fly around and enjoying the immersion of being in a cockpit.

Your missions help me a lot in achieving this goal.

I like also to taxi before takeoff. And if the airfield is filled with many (moving) assets, I am happy like a puppy.

Thanks again.

Sadly now that you've taken to the 'dark side' of high-performance on your machine front the likes of me can't indulge in your missions without invariably slowing down OUR machines to a snails pace. It's like playing in ultra-slo-mo, never mind ultra HD!! Ah well, it was great while you were still in the realms of us mere mortals!!聽:blush:

Try updating GPU drivers, I heard latest Nvidia drivers should boost significantly the FPS in various GPU models. Give it a try.
The reason is that in Windows 10 the new Nvidia drivers are using a hardware in a more direct approach.

now I have a better pc I can do more intense missions, this one is a make believe you are in the greek campaign on a greek island when you get a visit from the lufftwaffe, get your bird in the air and defend your airfield

Nice mission.
The attackers seem to leave the area very fast, I could only catch one BF110.
But overall a very nice and fun mission.聽馃憤

yes the bf110s are quite fast and they do not like to tangle with spits if they have any sense, glad you enjoyed the mission,

I do like to get bombers or fighter bombers to get in fast drop their bombs and RTB,

you can not always get the AI to do what you want.

i find if you give them one set of bombs, they do not go back for a second bomb run, sometimes they do not bomb anything at all ( something to do with wind direction I have heard)

I think if you have the wind turned up the bombers will fly around and linger to long over the target ( till they find the correct wind direction)

so it may bea good idea if making bombing missions to have wind set on low,

I may be wrong on this, but it seems to be the case .

bombers flying over the target three or four times till they release their bombs would be dumb in reality.

i quests the AI can be too clever for their own good sometimes in this sim

Thanks for the explanation.
From the AI / Logic side, as a Dev, I would add a number from 1 to 100 that will indicate probability of success.
This way mission author could provide 100% (by default) so the AI will aim for a 100% chance of bombing success, and on a bad weather mission you could provide much less percentage, lets say 20% so the AI would not "think" too much and just drop it "as is".

What do you think? Lets send this feedback to the devs聽馃槣

BTW, played two of your WWI missions and they are as well designed nice and are pretty fun.
There is one called "pop those godamn balloons spad" but I have never noticed any - just enemy planes聽:russian_ru:

get back to your lines in a stolen fokker,if ground gunners do not get, then if flak does not get you maybe even friendly fighters, must have flying circus to fly this fun mission

if your plane does not get back to friendly lines, bail out or try to land,THEN WALK BACK聽馃馃サ馃槷

Nice. I though of a same mission but in WWII, but never got a chance to build one.

Yes would be good for ww2 but the guns are stronger so it would be harder to escape, easy to do just change your side in mb then everything at the airfield will shoot at you

Actually I thought of the following scenario, I think its possible to implement:

1. You start either parked or near runway, and need to press E to start the engines.

2. Meanwhile enemy vehicles start to rush towards your plane.
3. If enemies reach a specific radius of your plane, they start to shoot.

4. At some point enemy airfield is being activated (where you need to take off) and an alarm siren turns on (I think when airfield is activated it will automatically play the siren when enemy plane is around, but not sure).

5. After you take off, you have some path to follow, and if you slightly go off you can trigger enemy patrols (that are not activated if you stay on your path).
6. Place "activated" enemy patrols around the escape route.

7. Place some random patrols so the mission will be interesting to reply.

8. At the start of the mission or at the end play some spy music? Not sure if possible.

you must download these skins, plus my kuban, summer rangoon textures in the mods section to play聽

These are not my skins, but made by a very talented member of the forum, who I am sure would be glad for you to enjoy their work

off course you will need to download and install the map textures and skins before flying this mission I hope you enjoy

Attacking from the Russian side in a sturmovik,no idea on the history of this part of the map but it seems on this date the train station is in German hands

Sounds like a fun mission, I like the plane, especially now when I play the Ice Ring Campaign.
Will give it a try, thanks.
P.S I am not a fan of historical mission, for me it just needs to be fun.

I will resave all the other missions I have on media fire ( I am sure the other mission makers will not mind )

plus scripted campaigns as I do them,so people can play them up to newest update.

I do not know about saving groups within the missions but I presume they are ok

Good mission this last one to practice your landing skills in the ju-52

the AI are much more better at shooting since the last update, but you should not come across any in this mission if your bf109f escort do their jobs.

do make sure you clear the runway after you land if not the other ju-52s will not land with their supplies.

do not land at the airfield,if you have markers turned on you will see the red markers to land between,if not a small fire and smoke to look out for

Hi Meplanes,

I've just installed your 'Moscow Stuka Hawks' pack聽 of missions for the Ju-87D from the link you posted above on Thursday, but only the first one - the familiarisation flight - will load.聽 None of the others show up at all.聽 Any idea what the problem might be?聽

thanks for the quick response.聽 I've re-loaded them and they don't show up at all in game.聽 I've tried installing them in a folder (which doesn't open) and as individual missions in my Misisons folder - they just don't appear in the game - very odd!

Well I'm truly puzzled! I've downloaded the pack you posted yesterday, re-installed the missions into my Missions folder, and they don't show up at all in game!聽 I've also taken one of the missions (hawks 7) and installed that on its own, both in the main Missions folder, and my 'Bombing missions' sub-folder, and neither show up in the game.聽 Very odd, because I've had absolutely no problem installing all your other (excellent!) missions in this thread.聽 A shame, because I was really looking forward to playing this pack!聽 Anyone out there have any ideas?

tank mission conversion planes pack.zip

these are two missions played from both sides converted from an old tank mission put on this site some years ago,the bf109e mission find the sturmoviks they will lead you to the target.

these are good with my latest effects version in the mods section, you can watch the tank battle unfold聽

I could not get the mission to work as a tank,so I tried flying from both sides in planes

I like playing around with the effects in missions,in the mission builder you can mix and match the effects, change height of some to give some varied and interesting effects.

all good fun
