68. Trees preventing a takeoff from some airfields were cut down on all Rheinland maps.

Great work Han and team,I'm especially happy regarding the A.I work that's going into the series.

Im not gonna lie I've been a bit disappointed with regards to this in the past but credit where it's due..it's getting better and better.

 

Christmas around the corner these A.I improvements might just tempt me to get BOBP. All the best going forwards guys

Correct. No it doesn’t. But the speculation surrounding the next theater of operations coupled with the fact it said news release was coming today and it was indeed in Morse led many here to pin it on perhaps a PTO announcement might be in the works.

 

You can read into it as you wish, or not at all.

Nice improvements.

I was just thinking yesterday how most Soviet planes are getting no 4K love, glad to see the Lagg3 was updated!

I will not complain about a non-PTO announcement. I am 100% certain that it isn't a lack of wanting that will keep 1C from producing a PTO module, so there isn't much my complaint would help.

 

Instead I look forward to the Mosquito, Typhoon, P-47 razorback, P-51B, C-47, etc.. Keep up the good work and the great sales guys!

Hello Han thank you guys for your great work and I am glad you are still working on the old planes. Can I ask for something? Do you plan better visibility or rendering in the future? I mean 

rendering of an airplane against the ground? I have 3440x1440 and 2080 TI and on full settings with sharpen are aircraft poorly rendered i mean recognizable. Thank you for you answer :salute:

It's a fantastic update, particularly for me as I really appreciate the attention to detail and the effort applied to the same. I bought all three of the collector planes without any hesitation.

Not sure if my memory is correct:

 

But the dive recovery system, I just tried the StuKa, was automaticly releasing the bomb on the before setup "release" altitude?

Also, not sure if correct, but in CloD the gunsight was shortly blinking on this release altitude as a sign for the pilot.

Not sure if the D-3 model had it.

 

From my several try-outs just now, it seems the air recovery system is not doing the work completly, meaning - after dive you are not coming even in some horizontal course.

I cannot stress how important or wonderful it is to see the AI improvements!

 

It is also nice to see the rest (including revisiting old aircraft - p.s. the Hs-129 still needs an option to fire only the mk-101/mk-103... this could be done using a weapon mod to re-arrange the triggers if implementing a gun control system is too much coding).

Yep, I was delighted to see that too.

Being a former 4K 2D guy and now a converted VR’er, I’m wondering how this will be graphics-wise in VR as I’m so busy today doubt I’ll have time to delve into it...

 

59. It's now possible to turn off the VR rendering mode for the propellers - any negative values specified for the prop_blur_max_rpm_for_vr parameter in startup.cfg file (like prop_blur_max_rpm_for_vr = -1) will result in the normal propellers rendering;

I have not tried it, but would think it could affect the propeller imaging when running below the refresh rate of the HMD, like squiggly gunsight.

Ahhh...that’s what I was wondering too. We used to have to do the key combo. Sweet. So one time .cfg entry then permanently done.

Very happy with visual improvements and also that you cared for smaller additions and fixes; a new fuel truck for mission builders/movie makers and now the crews exiting damaged trucks are indeed American!

So when and if will the p47 get some attention?  Especially now your doing the razorback i would hope you fix what has been presented as incorrect modeling in multiple forum threads with the evidence to back it up?

oh man, still no show for engine recovered or expired techchat messages in expert realisam settings (only techchat messges not showing up on expert), is this small thing realy that hard to fix?

They briefly implemented Minecraft on the maps so they could send out the 2.5 map guys with iron axes so they could give the whole thing a bespoke feel. If there aren't some stumps left over I will feel cheated.

Also, this gem:

19. AI pilots won't get too excited following a falling target and crash into the ground after it;

I just picture the AI programmer wrangling the AI like a pack of dogs after a squirrel. "No, you are too excited! It's already dead! WHY ARE YOU ROLLING IN IT??? <swearing in Russian>"

Yup. Congratulations, you´re the only one.

 

The dive recovery system in Ju 87/88´s is no "arcade mode" this is how good old german engineering works 😁
