T6-ADStukadriver 5 Posted November 8 I bought the pre=order of Battle of Bodenplatte quite a while ago...it shows as being key activated on my account...but is this a campaign like Kuban or something? I thought it would have a discreet title page to play. Where do I find it to play? Just a bit confused...I can see my game is on 4.001b. Thanks.

T6-ADStukadriver 5 Posted November 8 Thanks...so within the "Battle of Rhineland Career" we will find the famous "last stand" of the Luftwaffe?

Unfortunately as it seems no, or not yet. My little gripe with the career: it seems all mission types and parameters are ported from the east front careers, this is especially visible in the flight alititudes and squadron/group compositions. I flew the respective units, for example 478th (blue noses at Asch), or JG11 or JG3 etc respectively on Jan 1st 1945, and instead of getting at least similar missions, I got completely random "attack enemy colon" or "enemy concentration at crossroads" etc, not even a fighter sweep. Asch was not even attacked that day, neither did any of the german missions reflect on the events of Jan 1st. I hope they will adjust the Rheinland career to reflect its historic parameters more, like this it is simply a random mission generator with all wrong paramters (except for map and aircraft) progressing along a somewhat historical frontline. The missions imo do not need to be 100% recreations when such historic events occured, but at least should reflect the events and mission types of such outstanding days (especially if you name the title after them). My 2 cents.
Sublime 205 Posted November 26 No youre totslly right. Its all off. P51 units fly almost constant ground attack missions vs cover for a20s or b25s or p47s or p38s. Yet you goto PWGC and youll always have escort if doing a strike. Like real life. The German side only is somewhat more realistic becsyse the 'enemy planes spotted' mechanic is amped up and it happens daily basically. Its still off though. For example. Me 262s should have intercept bombers and recon planes. Thats it. No escort. Only kg 55 or historical swuadrons should have grnd attack for 262. But as said the altitudes its very noticeable. Everything defaults around 10k feet. East front height. Another prob is US planes carry lots of gas. But they get defaulted at 100%. Unless your squad leader your ai squad mates are flyimg with way overloaded p51s. P51s are the most suspectible plane ever for tbis - they had regulations against even hard maneuvers over 74% fuel and no combat! I havent seen any historical missions either. Was disappointed no mass attack jan 1 45 like other poster. I dont know. The career could easily be legendary and it feels almost ignored.
