Lost Another One - B-17 Crashed in Connecticut

Recommended Posts

Just saw this in the news - a B-17 has crashed while trying to land at a Connecticut airport - rescue operations are underway:

Hope at least some of the occupants survived, though it doesn't look promising from the pictures.  Thoughts and prayers for those folks and their families.

It was Nine-O-Nine. Most likely a total loss this time as she is burning after hitting a shed off the runway.

Hopefully no fatalities, reports vary saying either 4 or 6 taken to the hospital, one in serious condition.

The AP is saying an "undetermined number of those aboard" have been killed. :(

I saw this B-17 at a show in May.  Very sad.

What a loss, what can one say.  RIP up to 13 soils may have been lost but not confirmed yet, so sad.

First I've heard of this. So sad... That was one of two B-17s I've been in. I recorded my walkthrough of Nine-O-Nine (old camera that only did 720x480 resolution though).
