Team Fusion v4.56 bug report thread.

Recommended Posts

I would recommend players start with the Quick missions if they are testing.

Please note:  This is not the final set of changes to the AI Routines... we expect more changes later or with the TF 5.0 release.

We wanted to get these changes out so those who own CoD Blitz can get the benefit immediately.

Not a new bug, but...

Quote

A bug in the airfield tower communications (tower's "clear to land" order) has been fixed and AI aircraft now correctly land at airfields when landing waypoint is specified by mission builder.

OK, now finally when use TAB > 7 . 5 (Request for landing), the message in screen is "Landing_Permited" instead the usual "Landing_Denied", but you hear nothing from tower.

For improve this, go to folder ...\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\parts\bob\speech\gb\Actor1

And make a copy (Ctrl+C) of the file "You_re_cleared_for_full_stop_Watch_the_traffic.ogg", past (Ctrl+V) and rename for "Landing_permited". Do the same in folder gb\Actor1 and same for de\(German) folder.

Or extract the attached file for the above folders.

Next time request for landing will hear: "You are cleared for landing, watch for cross traffic".

Beware that if you are flight leader need order AI for spread formation - TAB > 6 > 2 > 4(Far) when coming on final, or they "fly into terrain"

Beware too that if mission originally determine that you should landing in Hawkinge and you decide landing in Manston, the tower you are hearing is Hawkinge because... your Spitfire radio have only one channel, tuned in Hawkinge controller, your AI wingmans will not landing there (in Manston).;)

Unfortunately TAB > 7 > 6 "Request Take Off Clearing" still inverted, the answer is always "Takeoff_Denied"  - no matter if you are the only plane in runway, and thus no sound is played.

Neither the message "Landing_Permited" and "Landing_Denied"* wint underline show be on screen, because these names with underline (_) are just... lets say, "index script" for another sound file, for example the file "You_re_cleared_for_full_stop_Watch_the_traffic.ogg" don't say "You're cleared for full stop.Watch the traffic." but "You are cleared for landing, watch for cross traffic".

Another example of broken "index scrip" is the "Start_pursuit" that appear in screen at start of dogfights, this is one of these player (automatic) phrases, but seems that  "index script" don't find the respective sound. I believe that this sounds are created with more than one recorded sound file, like the answer for TAB > 7 > 2, that play the sound of different bearings: e.g. "This is home Plate. Vector 210. Good Luck" - "This is home plate" is one sound file, "Vector" another, "210 another", and "good Luck", another.

We have included a few changes in the 'Commands' for players wishing to control the AI aircraft in their flight, but these revisions are not complete in 4.56.

We will continue to work to improve the Player ability to command his wingmen in the future and these changes will be included in TF 5.0 if not sooner.

Please post in Technical section, include your system specs, and a log report... see the instructions there.  😉
