Jasta 5 FC Flugpark - March 29th Patch

Recommended Posts

Observed a minor glitsch today, after landing I recieved zero points for firing at friendly. The parser got it right though so don't really know why since there were no friendlies around, just a distant SE5 AI.

S!

It is not just planes. Did you hit a friendly ground unit or building/bridge?  The parser will count those as well.  It could happen while defending a ground target.

Nothing of that kind was reported in the sortie log and I'm quite sure I never was lower than 5k feet when firing.

The range on the WWI AAA guns has been fixed as of today!

Hopefully we will get to see them in action soon.

F7f here hangs too well on the hill, you have to get used to it.  But the dolphin has the ability to get out of the spin with a torn rudder !!  It is fantastic 🙂

The briefing usually provides you with a start and end hour of the mission. Then, just look at your cockpit clock.

Here's one of the 3rd P.G's highlights from the night - a big scrap with a bunch of the Kaiser's own D.VII Fs!

The invisible plane glitch came back with a vengeance, with my wingman unable to see a plane right in front of us until he shot!

Mind out for the colourful language ;)

Yes, no kill messages are more realistic and immersive. It is a big yes for me. It also prevents the "salute" fest that is ROF, when people salute even rammers 😂

Last night, I saluted an AI after I rammed it.

I'm here to help!

That was a lot of fun, my first time out in a fighter! Sorry for the collision, that's the one thing I am apparently good at in FC... I am getting better at avoiding them at least.

Ha, two videos of me dying on the same page! 💪

Even though I think I only lasted like 11 seconds, that was a good time... the most planes I have seen in one place by far, looking forward to it again! S!

However, no one wrote that it was you! 😉 You yourself decided to tell everyone about this 🙂 However, not bad for the first flight, I will tell you.  Before that, I played with other guys, with a greater number of flights than yours - perhaps that is not in their favor comparison.  I posted this video not because the fight was very interesting, but because of the interesting capabilities of a dolphin without a rudder.  And so, after I was smart and missed the bullet in the radiator, I became nervous and tried to quickly resolve the issue with you.  This did not benefit the case; as a result, many errors arose.  And I don’t give a damn about the collision, you couldn’t overcome yourself, and you tried to aim your sight at the enemy upside down)) This is not intentional, it’s emotions, I can understand it

"Sorry" to No 20 Thomson. Tough going in a Brisfit when you're by yourself.

Worst part buddy was I had recon done which was a pain to get, 4500 feet is nuts to begin with and took at least 10 passes to get it. got to the lines and bang 50 centrals came at me like a swarm of hungry vultures, Saw the tracers go by, looked behind me and bang D7 smoked me, was out for a bit woke up with no controls so I was a lame duck. lucky my human gunner got the d7 smoking , good work gunner, think his name was KFC or something, and yup we got fried , only thing missing was the batter.

My team mate also did recon with no results, didn't take at all, think that needs to be fixed or taken out until it works better. Or explained what we did wrong. Plus recon could be closer to the lines, or 1 recon bird for all the recons. As we have seen so far no one wants to do recon, without recon we have no bombing targets, So us #20th squad can really use the hand, even if it's escorting if you don't want to fly Bristol's.

I remember seeing a message saying glass plates had broken. That will happen if you land too hard/crash on field.

Also, send a message out on chat when where you guys are going to go and folks can arrange a link up and escort.

Usually I just get bored and start shooting stuff in the trenches. There are tanks and manned machine guns down there.

Good idea, and also there is a Flugpark Discord channel you can use to coordinate with escort's and two-seater.  Access the link via the Flugpark parser in the "info" tab.

Not to worry....big furballs like that tend to be a game of chance! You shoot the guy in front and hope somebody is shooting the guy behind ;)

I am happy to star in a video at any time, whether I am doing poorly or not 😁

I appreciate your words, and that we both enjoyed the encounter, it was intense for me for sure, and definitely hooked me on the WWI flying!

I can assure you -also from personal experience- that lots already had to lay their thumps in a airfight with Emely;
But for sure it is always fun and you learn lots of tricks, no better teacher!

I hope that we will teach each other a lot, and our meetings will always be interesting.  Since we are ready to speak in a friendly manner after flights, and only during the battle we behave somewhat cruelly.

Attacked an AI CL2 and its gunner and pilot didn't react to my presence like they normally do mission was Amiens to St. Quentin - Noon - Spring 1918.  Could there be an issue with its way-points?

They react differently in different missions. In some missions the 2 seaters just continue flying straight and in other missions they are quite aggressive.

Not 100% sure, but I think the missions done by J99_Sizzlor are the ones with the aggressive AI.

The mission editor is really the small brown furry thing at the bottom right.  I'm the one with the white hair who jumped at the chance to play with all the bells and whistles.

Yeah, step aside, I'm like the ace of aces of aces here.

Central Mission Legend (15 kills in one sortie), Tour Legend (100 kills in one tour) and Pour Le Merite with Oak Leaves (100 kills in one life).

fe0oUqH.jpg

For the record: ground kills. Also I'm pretty sure I've never done either 15 ground kills in one sortie (I think I average 5 per sortie), nor 100 ground kills in one virtual life (my top ground streak is 32), so that's just wrong. I've definitely done 100 kills last tour, though.

I also wouldn't award the Pour Le Merite for ground attack at all, or raise it to 100 in one virtual life, and raise the Pour Le Merite with Oak Leaves to 500 in one virtual life.

Basically, anywhere where an award for shooting down a plane is awarded, do it x5 for ground attack.

Haha, take your time!

The idea is great, though, thanks. By the way: no backsies, I'm keeping all of these.

(but seriously, x5 for ground attack is probably a lot more fair)

LOL we are working on fixing it.

BTW I found that here (link below) are all ROF medals and posters in zip files  and  they have transparency 😉

I can imagine that there is copyleft licence on them.
