Career mode will be finalized ????? missions missing

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I had noticed that the career mode missions are quite repetitive and that in the Stalingrad and Kuban campaigns, never missions against the air bridges of the Stalingrad pocket and the Taman peninsula, so no JU52 or He111 transport.

It's the same thing ever for missions concerning the maritime traffic on the Volga or on the sea for Kuban, while the ships exist in the game.

So I extracted the SCG file, discovering the files concerning the career mode.

On the one hand the files "briefing.cfg" in different languages in the folder "I18n for each career file (Moscow File No. 13, Stalingrad File No. 14, and Kuban File No. 15,)", and files by plane assignment for each mission type "14planes-to-missions.cfg" in the folder "Script.

The file "briefing.cfg" lists the various missions planned in the game, the first part is about fast missions and the second part the career mode missions it seems.
It appears the following missions that are not included in the files "14planes-to-missions.cfg" for Stalingrad and "15planes-to-missions.cfg" for Kuban.

This implies that some missions are currently not yet activated.

The campaign mode is therefore an unfinished product ???.

"Briefing.cfg" file missions missing from "planes-to-missions.cfg" files

1104 = "Intercept cargo planes";
1121 = "Area patrol";
1123 = "Free hunt";
1124 = "Ships cover";
1154 = "Escort recon plane";
1155 = "Escort artillery spotter";
1207 = "Search and destroy";
1301 = "Advancing troops supp
1302 = "Defense lines support";
1401 = "Battlefield recon";
1402 = "Communication lines recon";
1403 = "Photo recon";
1602 = "Cargo paradrop";
1603 = "Special mission squad paradrop";

Question: The currently complete career mode will be finalized one day, because this deprives us of a lot of possibility of the game in particular the transport planes and the ships.????

Salutations,

I am confident that the career mode will indeed be considered complete but even then there will be complaints about it.

From my observations, this game in continually changing. Indeed it is a WIP. :salute:

For reasons of development efficiency I suspect the team will not add new missions or significant features to the career until they are ready to add the Bodenplatte chapter.  If all goes according to schedule there should be more released at about this time next year.

Missions that do exist right now are problematic.

I would like to have real fixing before adding new ones.

Its almost unplayable to fly any ground attack mission from Jabo to BF 110 in career.

There are no escorts and AI is made so dumb that the flight is dead on 90% of missions.

If that would have a historical basis Luftwaffe would have been destroyed on France or even Poland 🐵

Don't forget about AAA that annihilates everything. Hard to enjoy ground attacks if aaa snipes you everytime and entire team.
