Very cool. I do love the winter maps. Will the snow cover have depth like the winter maps we have now?

Hello guys, a little update.


First of all I am going to update when I make progress. This is the first mod I make and I have been having trouble with the textures, nothing that was unexpected. So I want to apologize for the lack of messages on this post. 

 

Second, I am still aiming for a early September release, whatever the state is it.

 

Thirdly, and for @Rjel it will have an early winter look. No Shallow or deep snow, some fields are even covered partly.

 

Last but not least thank you all for your kind words, I hope I can deliver something worth of your time

I am downloading now...but can you tell me what it replaces & how,if we want, we can get back to that map should we want to/ i mean what folder should we save?

Of course if this is a JSGME mod it should be pretty straight forward to reverse it?

It is already JGSME Compatible, I will work with JGSME on future versions too 😀

You may want to create or edit the existing height.hini file for this. Firstly because I think you can make a duplicate of the existing one that will be directed to the new textures, this would allow you mod to be installed simultaneously with the stock map, and players could choose between the two with the mission editor. The other reason is because the landscape shader used by the default .hini is summer_proc, whereas the other snow maps in game use snow instead. I'm not sure what the difference is but you may want to try changing that line and seeing if things look better.

About the shader, I prefer to use this one, the other one blends better in a "true winter" enviorement but I will take a look at the new option for the map

Hello, that sounds interesting, I might give it a try but I want first to end or at least have a working version of this mod 😀

Partly snowy areas! It is looking great!!! Should be added into the game as a step between Autumn and pure winter!
