Easy: friendly pilots Expert, enemy pilots Novice Moderate: friendly pilots Veteran, enemy pilots Regular Hard: friendly pilots Regular, enemy pilots Veteran I myself did my first Career in easy, then subsequent careers I have been doing in Moderate. Moderate gives me a good challenge which I find plenty hard enough for me lol. Edited July 22, 2018 by dburne 1
RedKestrel 393 Posted July 23, 2018 How many aircraft you run into can also depend on the frontline density setting, which will see other friendly and enemy aircraft going about their business along the front. So you might run into a fighter-bomber sortie while escorting your own bombers, or you might get jumped by a river crossing patrol group while on your way to attack a supply column. Godspeed 127 Posted July 23, 2018 (edited) There should be option to choose AI levels on both sides separately. AI in the simulator is not good enough. I want my enemies to be best as possible and allies as well to get some feel of realism. When you put level to hard your allies are too weak to survive and they become cannon fodder. When you put level to moderate you can beat enemy planes so easily that its no challenging nor "fun". Not sure why the developers have not made this possible already.. 🙄 If the AI gets overhaul would be nice to have skill level at random but right now the Ace AI is the only option. senseispcc 206 Posted July 23, 2018 Harder missions, means better planes for the enemies, better enemies pilots, longer missions, lesser friendly help, more missions per day (but I never had more than 3 per day in 200+ missions) also I did see logicaly atrition of squadron pilots at a very higher level and so the level of squadron pilots going down. I guess my question is somehow related. I am currently in a 190 A5 career with SG1 in BOK with easy difficulty and scattered ground activity. Do you guys have any tips how to keep your squad mates alive? I am about 10 missions in the career and have lost about half of the squad. Is there any way to avoid this high rate of attrition? The difficulty setting has nothing to do with how many missions a day you are assigned, what planes the enemy flies, or how long the missions are.
