As a trained professional illustrator and designer, I haven't seen anything from you that exceeds high school/hobby-level dabbling.

No sense of color, no sense of design, no sense of proportion, no sense of negative space, no sense of composition, no sense of anatomy...and on and on.

Sorry to be so blunt, but you asked in public.

You seem to have very little self-awareness as to your skill level and quality of your 3D output etc.

I normally wouldn't be so harsh, but IMHO this is just another blatant "give me attention" thread so I feel no need to sugar coat things.

So no 'camera obscura' for you ? I was hoping you were building one yourself...

How about inventing the next winner social media platform ? There is plenty of room for improvement...

First... as someone who's worked professionally for many years with with real people and clients, I don't need to prove anything to some hack on the internet....and I do mean hack.

Second....if you think that's good then I rest my case.

Third....these conversations with you are are just inane, circular, non-productive wastes of time.

You get told you have a long ways to go, then you post a horrible piece as evidence of how good you are...and on it goes in circles - no time for this.

Pencil and watercolorist mostly back in my "manual" days out of art school and then for many years - heavy on the drawing discipline.

Got burned out and work mostly digitally nowadays, 3D etc when a job comes my way, but I don't go looking for work anymore as I manage a parks system now for my day job.

With that I'm out.

No one can tell others what they should or shouldn't do...and be right about it. It is always up to the individual to work that out. The worse thing you can do is be stressed about it.

Be an existentialist. Be your own artwork. Be an inspiration. No, don't do that....

....make papaya (or paw paw) salsa :)

Go to art school if you really want to be a designer. You'll find if you have enough base talent to eventually get where you need to be or not.

I started off with plenty of natural ability, but I can tell you that I learned much more in those years of school than different ways to hold a pencil.

You have to know quite a lot to do design work for a living.

You also have to be good at working with people, interfacing, etc - it's all about people.

Something tells me that's not your bag.

im sorry but i dont believe in schools theyre centers of indoctrination and braing washing and above all their objective is kill peoples imagination which in a creative job is a bad idea

currently im on the procces of unlearning, basically everything is a lie

from a scientific point of view how do you know that the not verified by yourself info is true and not part of a confabulation of some kind that could be massive?

Yeah, definitely. I mean mostly self taught PS/CC but even then I had to go and take courses in the end. And I have to say coursework certainly helped my skill level and enabled me to obtain the contracts I've had and continue to get.

Did somebody say "zoology thread?"

Allow me to introduce Odontodactylus scallarus - or the Harlequin Mantis Shrimp

Aside from the fact that it packs a punch similar to that of a .22 caliber, it's also amazingly smart - for a shrimp.

Probably more than smart enough I'm sure to discern the difference between a University and a trade-school and purpose of each.
