Error initializing DirectX

Recommended Posts

Just installed CloD Blitz on steam.  Using an older PC with Windows 7 and DirectX.

Cannot get the game to start.  Error Message: 0x887A0004 "Error Initializing DirectX".

Any suggestions?  I am not a computer geek so please speak slowly and clearly :)  Thanks

Hi Sokol1  thanks for the info.  I have 64 bit Windows, but I'm not sure about the DirectX card and driver.

Here is my video card info.  It looks ancient:

Video Card:

Driver: Intel® G45/G43 Express Chipset

DirectX Driver Name: igdumdx32.dll

Driver Version: 8.15.10.2022

Driver Date: 8.26.2010

OpenGL Version: 2.1

Desktop Color Depth: 32 bits per pixel

Monitor Refresh Rate: 60 HZ

DirectX Card: Intel® G45/G43 Express Chipset

So does this mean I am grounded?  Thanks again

Is this computer a laptop? If yes no alternative.

If is a desktop probable accept add an new VGA (need see the rest of specifications) - but buy VGA in these "cryptocurrency mining" days is not easy/affordable.

Which version of IL-2 Sturmovik did you install?

Was it CLIFFS OF DOVER?

Can you please let us know your operating system specifications?

Game requires DX11 and Windows 7 or 10.

Hi hope this topic is still active. I have this error but don't think it is a case of low specifications. Though I may be wrong.

See below. Can you help please? I just bought IL2 WCoD Blitz.

Looking up the Satellite C870-198 model shows that it only has an Intel integrated graphics card, which is way below the minimum specification. To play Cliffs of Dover Blitz, you will need a computer than can support dedicated graphics chips/cards. Sorry :(
