One question, shouldn't the Fw190 A3 also be part of the Kuban fight, like the Bf109 G2?
 

Thanks Yogi I was wondering the same thing.  I did start a campaign with the A5 and so far it's a beast.

Hi Patrick, thanks for the time and work you are putting in your campaign generator. I was flying a few missions with 3.0.1, the only issue I had so far, is, like yeikov already posted, that I can't move the briefing map with the mouse anymore, only with the scroll bars.

There are only three FW squadrons (I/JG51  ,I./Sch.G.1, II./Sch.G.1).  Two of those should really be a ground attack squadron flying the F and not the A, leaving only I/JG51 flying the FW as a fighter.  I have the A5 going into service with  I/JG51 on Jan 28 1943.  Too early?

I was thinking about the fighters. I have in mind, having read here in the forum, might have been a post of Panzerbar, that, like with the 109 G2 and G4, both 190 versions were flying there at the same time. But if you don't have any infos about that, I am fine anyway with the way it is now. I just wanted to ask.

Pat, most of my missions are generating without no contact, can you give some hint on what might be the problem?

 

Here is the last mission flown:

In the campaign what is your settings in "Simple Config" ?  On the right side you should have "Air density and Ground density" I have mine set to "Med" and have no problem with contacts, sometimes my flight is out numbered.

Any chance the JU52 could be added to the PWCG?

Could do simple cargo flights or parachute/cargo drops as missions.

 

Is there any reason it hasn't been added before(code issue)?

 

I know its not everyone's cup of tea but a relaxing JU52 flight before getting shot down seems like a nice change of pace to me.

Ok, what campaign and map.  I am currently using the Kuban map, fighter campaign starting 3-1-43, FW190, Yak1B, La-5, and Spitfire.   

 

I looked at your zip file and I see you are using the Kuban map and the the date is 5-21-43 I think that the Kuban campaign may have ended before that date. Not sure about that maybe someone else can confirm?

I have the zip files from Gramps and Mac.  

 

Gramps: unfortunately the mission logs did not come through.  I'll see what I can do with your campaign.

 

Mac: I started a campaign flying Spitfires with 57th IAP.  I generated three missions.  All three had enemy flights.  Two of the three produced contacts.  

 

One thing that I have noticed is that offensive patrols tend to create the least contact.  Front patrols create the most.  Intercepts usually create contact too.  If you want more contact scrub offensive patrols and accept front patrols and intercepts.

I will try that approach. So far I've been doing every mission the "CO" gives me :)

 

Btw, in escort missions (Kuban IAP 57th, Spitfire), I've never had anything to escort. Don't know if it's a bug or not, but it's been this way.

Also, those background pictures don't load in my installation, so I might have a bad one, is it possible?

 

Should I switch these questions to the "bug report thread"?

Thanks again, Patrick. Scrubbed an airfield attack mission for my 110 G2, about an hour ago, as it doesn't make a lot of sense without targets, hopefully I'll get another soon.

I'm not sure that you get any credit at all for static planes, but they are there.  The AAA at least makes them more interesting.

Worked perfect, no troubles overwriting to the old folders, ran both the Attacker Profile, and the fighter profile no error. 

 

except for these ones, which had nothing to do with the mission.

 

music and sound error report, not sure where it went they were not in the folders.

Last minute abort on the music.  It blew up the download from 60MB to 360MB.  The music is available on the PWCG web site as a separate download, but I think the directory structure might be dated (note to self - fix it).  Just make sure that the wav files get into PWCGCampaign\Audio.  Unzip the file to a temp directory and cut and paste the files into PWCGCampaign\Audio.

Aaah! Thank you for the music :-D

 

The music for the Axis didn't work. Then i changed the file name from "centralcampaign" to "Axiscampaign" . Now it works for me.

Do we have later dates to start and to end in PWG 3 than in PWG 2 as Kuban is later?

The new advanced config fighter limits number, are they planes or flight (by 4?) number.

Start date options were moved out to May 1943.

 

The new advanced config parameters are flights and not planes.  By default a ground attack or bomber campaign will generate 0-1 enemy fighter flights.  A fighter campaign will generate 0-3.

Pat, how can I set a custom skin to a plane and/or squadron in a certain time period? I managed to do it per squadron with the v2 input files, but with the .json files I haven't been able to achieve anything good...

If you could show a sample file or config block that'd be enough, and very appreciated :)

 

Can the skin config blocks be inserted in either the skin files, the plane files or the squadron files?

Was looking at the data and code and I messed up default squadron skin assignments.  Will have to fix it first.  Should have something by this weekend.

But I did not manage to do it for the squadron file.

In my new FW190 A5 campaign, there is an issue with the pilot log. I can see on the right side the destroyed ground targets with description of when, where, what, destroyed, but on the left side, there is only 'Victories: 7', without any description. I didn't have this before.

I've found an issue with flight generation/contact frequency and MGs.

I've set flight generation odds to 30, flight generation odds modifier to 20, flight opposition odds to 10, and minimum enemy and friendly flights set to 0, but I'm still encountering enemy aircraft in every mission, resulting in an abnormally high mission/victory ratio.

 

(I don't really understand what the flight generation odds options actually do, to be honest. Would you be able to give a bit more detail?)

I also have airfield and frontline MGs turned on, but they don't appear.

The issues I'm experiencing have been on the Stalingrad map, but another user is having the opposite problem on the Kuban map. Could that have something to do with it?

 


Flew 75km south in my 190 campaign on patrol  on Kuban. 1st mission. Flew back and landed. Is it poss no enemy planes spawn.  Im not very familiar with the parameters. 
 
 
Very enjoyable. Just wondering the odds of no enemy spawn.  Is typical/possible yes?

What install path did you use? I put the Audio folder in PWCGCampaign\BoSData.

If anybody cares - an explanation as to why the move.

 

I had intended to ship the audio file bundled with the product.  The music files are common across both RoF and BoS, so it made sense to drop the Audio directory  down to the PWCGCampaign level to allow the audio files to exist only once.  Then when I realized that adding audio would bloat the download from 50MB to 350MB, I backtracked on my plans to ship PWCG with the audio files bundled.  Even after backtracking moving the directory still made sense.

rename central to axis and it will work.  I have to do that and upload the updated zip, but you can do it manually to fix the problem now.
