I think we should have german side for bos and soviet for bom b4 bok.

Bok sp sounds great too.

Hi B6, do u plan to roll out more script campaigns?

If so, pls can you give some ideas on the map, squadron, new features if any etc?

How about a remastered version of juri's pitomnik? A story of a german volunteer pilot into the cauldron... last mission is an escape from cauldron with incoming tanks, artillery fire and overwhelming russian fighters waiting for you at the border?

Hi, I'm going to finish next scripted campaign in this December. It will be free campaign for BOK and it will be released together with the final BoK version.

I've no any plans to work on the campaigns of other authors, I've many own ideas.

Hi B6, thank you.

Please also make premium campaigns. Happy to pay for your awesome works.

Also, I heard recent rumors in major cities around the world such as NYC, London, Tokyo and LA that B6's premium scripted campaign that have planes taking off from lae and henderson field will sell like hot pancakes. I think its a compelling and substantive rumor.

Finished this campaign. I enjoyed it. It was better that the previous one. But again not enough stuff on the different airfields, and not enough ground activity. When I try to go and fly on enemy airfields out of the planned action they are empty, nothing happens there. I know it is a lot of work, but it is part of the immersion.

I am sort of close to the end. 10 missions so far and 13 kills, am I doing this ok? :)

In any case, the campaign is definitely more 'action focused' than the previous one, which seemed more of a tutorial or something of a 'calm and atmospheric before the storm' type of thing, but the heavy storm never seemed to come (though I loved flying in them tough conditions). I would not complain about not enough activity besides the main mission, it's hard to script so much stuff knowing that most players will never wonder that far from the flight path (if you do, you are doing it wrong anyways, do yer damn job :)). My only gripe is the visibility of friendly planes in escort missions, boy it's really tough to keep an eye on them IL-2s. You just look at your gauges for a while and puff, they are magically gone (yup, I suck at this escort stuff).

In any case, I love those scripted campaigns and my only hope is that CAS and bombers get some love in the next one (there is going to be another one right?). I am really hoping for a tough IL-2 or Peshka campaign, where you face near-impossible odds (which is basically standard in them kites). BlackSix pls.... :fly:

Yes, all of them are empty because all airfields in the Stalingrad area were empty during this period. The nearest German airfield was Tuzov, since September 10 - Pitomnik.

Try to fly to the airfields Tuzov, Frolov, Oblivskaya, Tatzinskaya - you'll see there a lot of planes and cars.

Also, I can not add more ground activity, the performance in the missions is at a dangerous limit...

I noted a small error on the briefing of the 9th Mission, "Dawn Attack", the Time in the briefing is stated as 17:42 while the rest of the mission text hints at a dawn flight. Moreover the next mission take place the same day at 17:35. Just adjust the text and should be fine. Excellent campaing by the way ;)

Thank you, it's the mistake of the translators, I didn't notice it. In the original Russian text was 07:42

The scripted campaign engine has no such option, only author can choose plane for player when he creates missions.

Oh, too bad. I would have liked to try the missions with different planes.

Thank you for the response. :)

Thanks BlackSix, I appreciate all the work!!

I've made a campaign and I know how much effort that is, I cant imagine making as many as you are making (including the scripted ones in the current campaign).

Really great to receive a free campaign with BoK.

I appreciate it very much. Would always pay a full price for every ad on campaign.

I bought your campaign. :)

Shamrock gave it a solid review, said your missions are really well done, and I trust his opinion.

Hello all.

If this is already answered and/or obvious then my apologies:

Do the scripted campaigns add to campaign experience points and kills or are they standalone?

Standalone.

But a heck of a lot of fun!

Got a little bored of playing MP, so I tried out the campaign. It's very well done, B6!

Can't wait for the one that'll come with BoK. :drinks:

Finally finished it today. Great stuff, though I'd pay a good deal of moneys for a campaign that has a really epic air battle in the last mission. Just saying. :)

I don't like the idea of fighting with the "final boss" in the last mission, it's a game of a slightly different genre. I try to make that the last mission logically completes the entire campaign, this should not always be a grandiose battle with increased complexity.

I have just finished mission 3 of this and I am actually sweating. Total carnage over the combat zone. I lost count of the number of times I checked 6 and had a nasty surprise, have never been so busy managing my engine and trying to maintain SA. Eventually I managed to sneak up on a G3 and blow his wing off (easily the most satisfying AI kill I have ever made), and made it back to base. Most pleased with the fact that all 3 of my IL2's somehow made it out of that mess. Amazing.

I would like to propose a new campaign that you may have to pull some strings to make. How about an I-16 regiment defending Moscow from German bomber raids. It would be like a mini-Battle of Britain in the East. Huge forces of He 111s and Ju 88s with ME 109 escorts being attacked by dozens of I-16s. The AI does quite well in the I-16, better set them all to novice and the Germans all to experienced or ace. But the Soviets get AA, lots of it.

And in between to have a change of pace you can have a few non-combat missions. Like flying over the Kremlin in the training mission(if the devs can be presuaded to lift the weird ban on flying over Moscow).

Just a suggestion.

Very nice campaign!

I've completed 7 missions so far, I'm really enjoying it, including the story.

The only part I'd rather have is a complete engine start and taxi procedure, but I suppose it's not done (except in one mission) because of the current broken state of the AI when it comes to taxi.

Speaking of AI, mission 7 wasn't hard, but once again I had just badly crippled a Bf 109 and about to finish it when another friendly came from behind and started hosing it, hitting me in the process. So no claim for this one, and a perforated wing. There are definitely most needed patches from 1C on this AI, more planes and places is nice, but if you can't enjoy them...  :rolleyes:

Thanks! Yes, I've tried to do such missions but it doesn't work how I want...

Good campaign idea! The "weird ban", as you call it, is because they didn't model Moscow in detail. There are only long-distance models of the city in the sim.

"Blazing Steppe" has been updated in 3.001:

- The campaign has been updated to the current mission design standard;
- Map tactical overlays are updated to be more detailed;
- Waypoint following logic has been improved;
- Take-off is counted when 30 meters altitude is reached instead of 200, making the take-off of large joint groups faster and reducing the possibility of skipping the first waypoint;
- Text translations are updated.

Excellent B6! Last night I flew the first Mission of 10 Days in Autumn through the new rain and clouds. Beautiful.

Just about "take-off is counted when 30 meters altitude is reached instead of 200". That's a Change in how the game functions, isn't it, not in how you build missions?

No, I've begun to use OnPlaneTookOff Event instead of OnTookOff Report. So it depends on mission designer

If you want to use this option - don't forget about counter x1 after this event if you need only one report about Took Off

That's very interesting. But can you tell what do you mean by empty. Originally these were airfields with some infrastructure and left empty or these were really totally green fields.

I mean Luftwaffe didn't use them at this period. There aren't any German planes, AAA and trucks.

S!

 Finally started flying the campaign. I like it a lot. Briefings and all give a more immersive atmosphere to it. Missions themselves are quite straightforward, but I like the feel of a battlefield with tracers flying etc. Nice work!

1st. Please... PLEASE put a voice acting narrator in your mission - major flow

2nd. Pay more attention to characters, and try to make them more interesting, try to make us care for them

3rd. You have so much content in the game, yet flying over a war zone you can't see no armies around. This is very bad mission making to say the very least

I got this campaign in order to write a review about the game (not only this, I have every expansion except the tanks) and you major problem is that all this content  never creates the war feeling that it can and should... not even in single player missions. Please make the final step and let all your hard work and dedication shine in an immersive campaign.
