You CANT be serious, Stuka's are cool but not pretty

(struggle though to the end, there is some nice footage)

and to stay on topic

and just for fun, one of the reasons I have a fondness for large four engine piston aircraft

Checking a developing oil leak on No,4 engine 'somewhere' over Somalia in a DC-4, there was a reserve oil tank (mod) so we were able to transfer oil in flight, the  leak was from the lower fitting on a pushrod cover,(common R-2000 problem) took a whole day to fix! one of the bonuses of being a pilot on old aircraft is that you also have to be a mechanic

Interestingly range was more often limited not by fuel but by oil consumption, each engine had 22 gallon oil tank with 1.8 gallon reserve for feathering, it was fairly standard to use about two and a half gallons an hour, with anything over three needing some attention and most likely an engine change

If the argument against expanding to the Western Front is simply the Luftwaffe was overwhelmed and defeated then there is absolutely no reason to ever go back to the late war Eastern Front either.
