Late to the party...

Very nice, thx. Interesting to see this kind of report from the other side, now.

Lessons learned for the Pe-2: stay together CLOSE else you're picked one by one, lead shouldn't go too fast. And a little variation in formation is helpful against fighters who do shoot and scoot. Oh, where are the old-school-knights coming in slowly from behind, a honest duel with our tiny little 13-mm ...?

(Nocke, we both got the correct targets, my bad luck to cross your bombs that very moment)

If you see on the video to Karaya, Nocke did a mistake in chat and told in chat to all that you where going to Zety. :o:

Done it myself, deadly mistake :)

Thanks Tip for the fun :) 3 Seperate cargo drop missions, I was pushing the engine so hard it started smoking :D Success tho! Here are some pictures and the crazy turn angles i had to do to save time. I would like to say a massive thank you to the BF109g2 s for protecting my drop zone all 3 times even tho they were never needed :)

That first Il-2 down is me. I'd already picked up a couple of flak hits, one of which had smashed the bullet-proof glass on the windscreen and the gunsight, so I couldn't see straight and was on my way home before anyone found me. Except that you did! With the extra damage you dealt out dumping my plane in the grass was the safest option before you blew me to bits :).

Cheers.

sight_zps894lck99.jpg

Flak coming from behind me over the left wing-root wrecked the instruments and split the sight in two. The bullet-proof glass has been smashed from the inside! That'll teach me to keep the canopy closed in future... lucky it wasn't my head.

FNBF now sponsored by Marlboro! When the two side did meetup to party so did everyone start smoking, and that's bad for your health as we did discover. :)

Just a fine Cinco de Mayo and, as I was informed by my Dutch pards, an excellent Liberation Day as well...

Nice pics. Noribee rode those Aunties like rented mules. Whoop.

Heinkel crews stave off being sent to Penal Battalions and fierce action across the map.

Great stuff...

Hi all,

Some pics of my last sortie as a fighter...with no too much luck. Being intercepted by Schuck. Sadly I jumped too low and the parachute didn't open  .

I will post more pictures of the IL2 action later.

Some pics from the IL2 attacks.

We were engaged often by enemy fighters and our escorts do well protecting us, even with some of us going down they do their best. Thanks for the effort guys!

I had a fight with a 109 flying on the deck that was surprisingly lazy in turns and climbs, until I saw later that they were armed with gunpods. I almost had it but it was tough and after he started to gain some altitude I manage to escape when I also run out of ammo.

Nice pics Peter... Yep was wondering if it would be able to sink the barge. Apparently so as the ship never made it to dock. The Volga is now officially cause concern...

On the 2nd Sortie airdoc and myself had a birds eye view as JG5 harried a Peska below...

The heroes of the 216th mixed air division up for another sortie in defence of the motherland:

post-947-0-38217400-1494093549_thumb.jpg

My first sortie was not that long - a well placed and spectacular AAA hit put it to an end:

post-947-0-83834000-1494093615_thumb.jpg

To my big surprise I survived.

post-947-0-02097300-1494093708_thumb.jpg

Next sortie - this one was to be thrilling. Attacking stuff here and there, this AAA position was close to seeing its end:

post-947-0-34458200-1494093794_thumb.jpg

Then appearance of Airdoc to the scene:

post-947-0-40980300-1494093954_thumb.jpg

... but the gunner bites back!

post-947-0-63842600-1494094033_thumb.jpg

Trying to make it back to Tatyanka in the barely flying crate. Landing strip in sight - alas, another 109 attacking ...

post-947-0-93177100-1494094127_thumb.jpg

But this ones makes a BIG mistake, overshoots, and the 23mm reaches out

post-947-0-99559800-1494094206_thumb.jpg

:bye:

post-947-0-56838300-1494094245_thumb.jpg

About to land - the message pops up that Tatyanka is disabled. So I headed north to Ahtuba, arrived there with my last 15 liters of fuel and managed to put it down softly.

post-947-0-62163200-1494094409_thumb.jpg

It felt so great to come back alive from that adventure, thx Tip for making all this possible!

There was then another nice sortie with Peterla, killed some tanks and stuff, but this sortie was unique for me.

And so is FNBF as the building which houses our server will be going under renovation so the power will be turned off.

Starting Fri May 19th - 21st then again Fri May 26th - 28th.

We are at a crucial point in the campaign. Having 1 week on then 2 weeks off at this stage has me considering whether or nor to just take the 3 weeks off now.

Anyway AAR coming up later...

Yes it might be wise to just take 3 weeks off, better to have regularity on the campaign. Soon summer season is upon northern hemisphere also. less activity is to be expected from June to September

On a totally selfish note... take the three weeks off, then I won't (hopefully) miss anything :)

When you tried to snatch one of my team mates!

It was A short burst! I think I hit your Office room!
