Ok, Coconut, is my fault an error in one of my groups...

But is no finish...ūüėę

After multiple checks, I have a new error. I created a mission on the map of Moscow using the "Static" objects of your "MoscowAutumn2.Mission" mission. when I control the mission with wordcheck, I have the message;

 

Exception unmanaged: System.Exception: Error in mission file: The input sequence was empty.
Parameter name: list

without the "Static" group everything is fine (with Worldcheck) .... I am attaching my file mission, because there I do not know what to do. If you want to take the time to look, thank you in advance.

@OBT-karlYou have misspelled the group of airfield spawns. It should be "Airfield spawns", not "Airfields spawn"

 

I'll start adding checks for this kind of problems in WorldCheck.

Over the weekend I installed the latest versions to replace the older one.

Thank you OBT-Carleo !!!! Learned a few new things...LOL like getting to,"log in"!!!

Old version was different for me. Thanks again for the pdf.

 

Gents I have a problem, with the old and new versions, At Dserver, mission launch...the Dserver crashes.

I've ran several missions, including "sample missions".  Also Ive launched Dserver independently, with these missions.

They run fine, and have run in the past. I haven't done any research yet, but visual studio is telling me, the net.dll in Dserver,

is breaking. (Ive replaced, and reinstalled the dll, and verified the game files) same results

 

Any clues, thoughts, or guidance advice...thanks

Always had  glitchy start ups, but now she's real difficult.

Hi Moxy,

 

Yes that is me.  Our squad still uses that for campaigns we run using 1946.  We are also testing Coconuts Controller/Campaign to run something similar with BoX, just running one 3 hour mission/week.  I had thought about working on something for BoX myself but why reinvent the wheel when Coconut has done such a good job.

Its where Im trying to go. After 46 and GS got long in the tooth. 3./JG51_Stecher and I, revised HRCoDwar, GhostSkies style, for CloD. We had it! After 2 years of testing

and revisions.....RL stepped on Stecher., and the project had to stop. With out revisions (what I can see) only "templet' layout , Coconuts brilliant work, can be had, to start

"Dead is dead" tournament play again...Something that was lost when RoF, and Clod failed at release, to replace 46.

 

Im not a "coder" but I can "hack" to a point...My intent here is to "game play" test a "Coconuts "Dead is dead" environment. From there, make a presentation.

There is still a squadron base out there, but the community has changed!

I feel guilty for trying to use Coconuts work! As I said, I hack.  But this is "true" hope for something that was lost.

Hello

 

Do you try to launch mission with the .mission file or the .msnbin file

TRy to launch your campaign with .mission file by modifying the  campaignconfig.yaml ont the line "UseTextMissionFile: false" change it by true

And tell us

For the DLL file have you unlocked it may be a way to look

 I have, unblocked the files. LOL at least I think so. I followed your posted pdf syntax. (no errors in the DoS window, Il do it again...cant hurt)

Actually I had to "update" Powershell, on our server, to use the syntax, without hunting for proper older syntax

So I do think the Coconuts "system" is unblocked....

As for the Dserver crashing...Ive played with both bin and mission, there is something my deserver doesn't like

launching through the campaign "system". as Dserver runs generated missions fine without it.

Il keep pluging away at it.

Have a look at the Server Control window as it is opening the Dserver to make sure everything in the command line looks OK.

Yes all the line seem to be correct, except I have Dserver closed, so no kill messages.

Question: as per the pdf, I'm having trouble getting the ip in. Our server is Win server 2008

Its not liking the syntax (not valid)  could this be it

Sorry Mox it's a while since I ran that command and it was on Win 7.  From what I can remember it was more like the top example with fewer spaces that you have on the bottom example.

 

Can you start the dserver from the web interface by just starting a mission rather than the campaign?

I only had time to try to launch a generated mission, as a mission, last night...Dsever crashed, same net.dll error

(So the SSC, is functioning to Schedule.)

Not a fair test! . The mission will launch from Dserver exe. (so in theory, the mission is good) Have to try some A/B testing

before I can give any kind of a good directive answer!

it seems your are not using the last campaign  system  1.30.0.0

My version is 1.30.3.0

Normally,  coconut can confirm

the SturmovikServerControl-8ffba996b21bfe932a4f0d75fe3cc9542c656a40-32 version will work with the SturmovikCampaign-e17a5201ed25f9fdea66c285a3626fdb19aafd62-31 version

They are all from the 18-09-2018. Friends of mine  use those files and it works fine

 

Can you confirm me that your are using those files

If I remember correctly, I had similar problems because of spaces in the game installation directory name, as you have. I copied the installation to a directory without spaces in the name, and it worked. That was some versions ago, though.

in the config.yaml

- chatlogdirectory and logdirectory lines are inverted

- CompactedLogDirectory and ProcessedLogDirectory are missing

Otherwise  all is good in your configuration file. You can keep long name with space in directory installation

 

Try to correct your config.yaml and tell us if its working

No need for the compacted and processed log directory entries, they are deprecated. 

Try putting the briefing last in the campaign config file

The log and chat directories are well configured.

I downloaded the zip files again. The version was good.

I put the briefing at the end of the file that did not change anything.

I copied the briefing of the sample files and it worked! Surely a "carriage return" ?

thanks for your advices.

 

I then had an error locating *.mission files that I corrected. The campaign has finally started the Dserver launching.

I spoke a little too fast.

Missions 1 and 2 are built. The Dserver starts.

I found: it's the line :

I believe you are limited to ASCII chars in the SDS file. Or maybe Cyrillic is OK. Not sure what the encoding is.

Hello, i'm experiencing an issue from a few day

 

At the end of the mission, SSC is enable to find result for extracting the next mission

I have reinstalled all the system SSC and Campaign but i got the same result

From your  SSC adress  ex: localhost:8083/data/nameofyourinstance/Help  you can get Json  information to obtain the left time mission or the date and time of the ingame mission

You can  add it to you web site  by creating a php file like this

Time format is indicted in minutes, i don't find how to format the json info but i'm still searching

It can be help full to player  for not coming at  the last minutes of the mission

Compare the date in the first log file of the bunch with the date and time in state.xml, the campaign thinks they don’t match.

Looks like you forgot to enable logging and this is just an old log file from a kuban campaign

I have erase all Logs and  data from campaign and i got again a difference between the date

 

17-4-1943 17:00 log

24-12-1941 10:00 state

 

 

OK  i found my stupidness   Changing the name of the mission in the configcampaign.yaml but not in the SDS file

I use a personal planeset and it works.

In the planeset "PlaneSet-KubanLate.yaml",  the static parameter is the same for two models :

 

 - Model: He111h16
          Static: 10
        - Model: Yak1s127

        - Model: Yak7bs36
          Static: 10

Does this not pose a problem for inventory management when destroying a parking plane  ?

hello

 

i got this error  " SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data"  from all  the mission date

Do you have an idea where the error is.

Lots of testing. Am pleased to say Im up n running.

A few reports....my Dserver crashing, I finally found at least a temporary solution!

It seems "our" server doesn't like launching through "local host" . So if I "remote launch " shes happy as a clam.

 

I was extremely disappointing to find out the "bridges" are broken.....any solution yet? (wipes out a full campaign test)

 

Id like to ask a few of questions to those that are ahead of me.

 

"Pilot capture" landing in an enemy "influence area" according to Jason's post it should work.

Tried on mine, and Coconuts expert....Didn't get captured ....any help? (I haven't made any kind of a mission to test this yet,

so I don't know if its broke or how it works)

 

Mission modding...certainly been looking at the blocks mission and the Blocks folder and the XML's.

I haven't started experimenting  yet, but Im hoping if Im heading in the wrong direction,

you can stop me from an auto fail lol.

To be honest, what Id like to do, is modify/lessen/delete/ the intel?

 

Coconut this thing is just great! I'm so hoping, and with the help of others, maybe "we" can get up

tournaments like in the past!

Regarding captured pilots, I don’t currently output the influence areas, but I could add it.
