I have a hard time staying connected to your server without being ping kicked, but I have no such problem in wings of limitations even though my ping is about 20 higher in their server. Makes no sense. Don't know what the problem is?

I just popped to say I would not play this game in public servers if it was not for this server, you really give me hope for a serious and dedicated full real player group in this brand. Keep up the good work please , many thanks

To keep it that way, never ever introduce GPS.

Sadly this is true, non GPS is seemingly keeping FPS mannered people away. But I hope many more find the thrill fight and navigate interesting. I would like to see many more non GPS servers populated

I like this server EXCEPT for 1 thing:

.

the "out of aircraft" and "supply mission" just doesn't seem to work right.

...

I was playing today, and when that "out of aircraft, fly supply" message appears, it seems too late! I escape out (wait 15 secs) and even kill the engine. I even got halfway through a supply mission. then was kicked. couldn't get back in server until new game started. another time i flew supply perfectly, even parked in the parking lot, and was awarded 0/zero aircraft. ?

.

also, i couldn't get the "start" button to turn green once - just waited for a long time,,,but i think it costed me a plane because the "supply mission" message came (i think) a bit early.

.

very frustrating, and it always seems to catch me in a trap i cant escape from.

Update:

1. All destroyed in mission is added to the player during the sortie.

2.The points are counted in the player, but the team shall be added only after a successful landing, when the aircraft not to fly home, points are not added to the team. Bonuses of the target closing will be added immediately.

3. Supply is now counted resource points, not planes, HE and Pe - 350 points 110 - 250 points

4. When a player acquires 500 and more points, he added 1 plane, but no more than 3.

5. If successful intercepts bombers or ground attack plane, interceptor is assigned a reward in the form of cost bomber x 10, but only if plane not worked over the target.

6. Autoban system designed for theirs equipment destruction. Ban for 24 h.

7. Removed penalty for disconnection, as he now does not make sense.

In the near future tonnage limit would be developed

Bombs over 1000kg inclusive are banned for bombers

and bombs over 51kg will be banned for a fighter, forgive and understand.

Soon it will be removed limit of 2 aircraft per session. There is private garage for all missions as there are aircraft in hangar so much and be in the game.

Also to be added Supply aircraft, points for Supply and aircraft with combat points are not final and will be further reviewed

First let me say my squad and I enjoy your server.  I can't speak for the squad as a whole but others have voiced the following concerns as well.  IMO the reason for implementing the aircraft limits are good ones.  Unfortunately the server has lost people in the evening (US time zones) since its introduction.  I think the aircraft limit is counter productive to bringing people into the server.  In fact, it does just the opposite, people leave the server if they hit the limit rather than flying resupply.

It is my belief that the reasons for implementing the aircraft limit could be attained in another fashion which would not push people away.  They could also fly the missions they want instead of being forced into flying a resupply.  This other fashion is that kills, air or ground, would not count if you die or are captured.  This would bring a huge incentive to live through every sortie (which the aircraft limit does not do).  It would decrease the number of stat whores who don't care about whether they live or not (currently they can lose three aircraft, getting some kills and leave).  It would also decrease vulching at airfields.  If you are concerned that people will bail, etc. once in friendly territory, then you could give extra points for bringing your aircraft back to a spawn base.

What it wouldn't do is chase people away who enjoy the server, are just trying to fly and have a good time.  If your current system chases away pilots with below average skills, you end up with only veteran pilots.  Wars were fought by pilots with mixed levels of proficiency, not just the best.

Very good server!

I spend my online time on BoS exclusively here!

Too bad my first post is not for good  :(

I had a couple of kills tonight and  when I took off from server I decide to make a video from these.Then  I realize that I had a Yak in a 109 and a .....110 in 190  :(  :(

I was so sure that was a Pe-2 that I ignored chat messages about team killing ...

I am so  ashamed,

My apologies to 110 pilot ....

If medium or heavy aircraft on field, under vulching - no bonus for attacker, if aircraft stay, and no airborne - pilot not loses craft in garage.

Managed to catch a mission last night that occurred with lots of hazy cloud in the early evening.  It was probably the nicest setup I have seen in BoS so far.  Really nicely done.

I might have seen the same mission, they are indeed really nicely done.  I only wish that sometimes the mission would start in more early morning darkness, or late evening.

is it possible to add turbulence?

and wind?

especially on cloudy missions

or will this crash the server

Please, do Wind, not too much turbulence, but nice Crosswinds would be interesting.

A few words of praise for the server...

I think one only realises how populated the missions are when they go on a low altitude reconnaissance mission (I'm getting a little hooked on those, but that's a different matter). I took a pair of FAB-100s, little gifts for my Wermacht buddies on the ground, and plotted an attack on one of the bridges another flight had marked on the map. Now, the VVS had knowledge of two bridges. Conveniently of course, the nearest one was one street down from the main Luftwaffe Sekretov airfield, and the second one near Alekseevsky, neatly sandwiched between Sekretov and Oblivskaya, a nearby active airfield. Nonetheless down the road I went from Kalach, with a load of bombs, ShVAK and UBS bullets and strictly good intentions.

I decided to hit the bridge near Alekseevsky since it was a little deeper into enemy territory. That way any upcoming flights wouldn't have to go as deep, and I would have the chance to recon just about all of the northern section of the German lines all the way back to Kalach. Despite there being several Axis pilots flying at the time, the trip was surprisingly quiet. I was way too focused on navigating and checking for anyone ready to bounce to notice anything that wasn't a river, a forest or a city. As I approached my intended target area, less than 10km from Sekretov, I get cocky and decide to invite anyone else for the party.

"Luftwaffe sleeping near Sekretov, anyone with bombs is welcome to come and destroy the bridge nearby."

But of course, cockiness and karma go hand in hand and I felt it pretty quickly. I accidentally relayed that for everyone to see... including, of course, the Luftwaffe. My merry 2000RPM & 390km/h low-altitude cruise into German territory just got a lot less merry.

Less than 20 seconds from that, to make things better, I look to my left and I see a big fat runway pointed straight at me - that's Sekretov, obviously. Not only I had told everyone of my position and intention, I also had the major Luftwaffe airfield right to my left with the runway facing me so that anybody taking-off, landing or going around can easily see me, and can also easily catch up with little old me carrying 200kg of happiness, a full tank of fuel and an enough altitude to jump safely without a parachute. I took a photo of that, as a way of reminding myself to never act this stupidly again

...but as fate would have it, the Luftwaffe was indeed sleeping. I came onto my bridge as intended, the AAA welcomed me as expected and landed a hit or two that didn't have any effect on my aircraft. I dropped my two bombs and started quite a few fires. As I climbed out I noticed the adjacent airfield not in use and took a closer look at it. Aircraft, aircraft everywhere! I obliged and destroyed whatever I could, rolling on the go-arounds to check for anyone coming in to intercept me but I was undisturbed. I promised myself to stop once the ShVAK clicked empty, and sure enough that came. I darted home, this time putting some time to head north to avoid getting that close to Sekretov. While navigating I saw a bridge and noticed some emplacements near it. Blimey, more targets! Down I went and within 1 second of pressing the trigger the UBS was empty too. Now if anyone comes to me I need to drag them into a tree or else, but no problem. While flying I saw yet another bridge with emplacements, checkpoints and whatnot near it, there was shipping in my original target, there were depots...

Everything felt exactly like what a trip to the enemy rear should look. Very impressive work, DED and 72AG. :)

DED Squad has finished development of  a "squad logic" and now fighters can get some "escort" points!

Hooray!

How does it work?

Any pilot can create a squad, that includes bombers, attacking aircrafts and escorting fighters.

The points, gained by bombers and/or attacking aircrafts during the sortie, will be equally shared among all escorting fighters after returning to the active allied airfields.

Bombers and attacking aircrafts will get only personal ponts depending on the sortie's result.

Those points will not be shown in the stats (for this moment). They will be added to the pilot's supply points.

Thus, completing a task, any pilot can get an additional aircraft in a personal hangar.

How do I get points?

Destroy ground targets, vehicles, AA guns, enemy's aircrafts etc.

How to create a squad?

A squad is created via allied chat-command

To create the squad a pilot (a leader of the squad) should enter the following in the allied chat (Ctrl+Enter):

sq SQUAD start

where SQUAD is any given name of the squad.

How does a pilot join a squad?

A pilot should enter the following in the allied chat (Ctrl+Enter):

sq SQUAD req

where SQUAD  is the name of the squad, which the pilot wants to join .

How does a leader accept a pilot in a squad?

To accept a pilot's request the leader of the squad should enter the following in the allied chat (Ctrl+Enter):

sq SQUAD ok

where  SQUAD is the name of the created squad.

How to remove a pilot from the squad?

The leader of the squad  should enter the following in the allied chat (Ctrl+Enter):

sq SQUAD del PLAYER

where PLAYER is a nickname of a pilot,  SQUAD is the name of the squad.

How to dismiss the squad?

The leader of the squad  should enter the following in the allied chat (Ctrl+Enter):

sq SQUAD end

where SQUAD is the name of the squad.

How to quit a squad?

A pilot, who is already in the squad, should enter the following in the allied chat (Ctrl+Enter):

sq SQUAD leave

where SQUAD is the name of the squad, which the pilot wants to abandon.

How does a pilot know his personal score?

Any pilot can enter status in the chat  to get the message from the server (with a delay) about a personal score and a number of available aircrafts.

Any chat-command will be confirmed by the server's chat-message (with delay). Only allied pilots can see such messages.

The complete list of commands:

  • sq SQUAD start  - create a squad and become its leader
  • sq SQUAD end  - dismiss a squad (by the leader)
  • sq SQUAD ok  - accept a pilot's request to join the squad (by the leader)
  • sq SQUAD del PLAYER - remove a pilot named PLAYER from the squad (by the leader). PLAYER may be inaccurate, for example: sq SQUAD del Zlodey will remove -DED-Zlodey.
  • sq SQUAD req - request to join the squad (by any pilot)
  • sq SQUAD leave - abandon the squad (by any pilot)
  • status  - shows a personal score and a number of available crafts (by any pilot)

Good luck, pilots!

I made a Pe-2 run, took out a bridge, was hit by flak and RTB'ed.  On final at my spawn base I was strafed and crash landed on the runway but was alive.  The chat message said I was down to 2 aircraft.  Do crash landings at spawn airbases now count as an aircraft loss?

Could be because an enemy aircraft shot at you, today I crashed an La-5 without enemy action and didn't get any messages.
