Finland got in total 10 Hurricane I's after Winter War had ended. Only 5 of these were operational after the first month of Continuation War, as it was not possible to get spare parts from Britain, now ally of Soviet Union. By the time that Finland got Do-17's from Germany, January 1942, only two Hurricanes were operational and located in a different area than Do-17's. I said I would like. And I care not if we use Hurri on both sides. Historical battles will never happen anyway in this game. Essential point here is me in a DO 17 or SB 2. Hurricane will only be scenery anyways

An update on the 1st of September and then the 31st of October is still technically once a month. 😏 (Also I think you should have said hurri up. 😉) Edited October 19, 2020 by Soilworker

Ace_Pilto 393
I don't think they sent anyone packing. Especially not in the Battle of Britain where so much mental gymnastics has been performed by historians to make barely surviving a wholesale slaughter look like a glorious victory. Same goes for the Eastern front in the early days, not much to write home about. I'd be looking to Malta or Finland for more flattering examples of the aircrafts' service... Anyway, to each his own. I only wonder why it has taken this long to include the Hurri in the series? It must be difficult to calculate the simulated effect of having 12 or 16 .303 guns in one aircraft that already has more drag than a barn door. There's probably a point where one needs to use irrational numbers or bumblebee black magic to understand the nuances of simulating such a beast. And that's before you add the extra mass required to carry the big brass pair you'd need to take one of these aloft against aircraft that outnumber you and are better in almost every way. Anyway, to each his own. What you think and what History says are obviously two quite different animals. You can claim numbers or any other excuse you want. The Hurricane was there throughout and helped beat back the Luftwaffe in Britain, in Europe, in Africa and in Russia. The Hurricane helped send the Huns packing in each theater until they had their asses handed to them in their own country. She wasn't the fastest, not the most maneuverable, somewhat under gunned early on, but the Hurricane was there like gum stuck on the bottom of your shoe. She annoyed the s__t out of many a Luftwaffe pilot and put many more in a grave. In the end she was on the Victorious side and she played quite a distinct role in the Victories in each theater. The men that flew her had those Big Brass Balls and in the end many of them toasted a long hard fought victory over the aircraft of the Luftwaffe and what you consider superior aeroplanes. Talk sideways all you want, but the Hurricane was on the winning side and yes she did help to send the Huns packing in each theater she served in. That is undisputable. I implore you to grow a pair and learn how to fly this underated, underappreciated early war mainstay of the RAF and see what it feels like to earn a Victory in her. It gives quite a feeling of accomplishment to achieve Victory in her and as an added bonus it makes carrying around those Big Brass Balls a wee bit less burdensome. That was a nice DD today and I can't wait to get my hands on the LONG awaited and sorely missed iconic Hurricane. Taking her into the skies and kicking some 109 ass will have never been sweeter than in this latest version of IL2 TGBS. Thanks 1C! That's Branscombe airday about ten years ago! What a great little show that was. They also had a wing-walking team, P51 Big Beautiful Doll and some big Russian, radial trainer. Branscombe airfield is a postage-sized strip above a very small coastal village just down the road from me. This show was run in conjunction with a classic car show to raise funds for local charities and was extremely popular until it was shafted by two residents who had moved into the area the previous year and our useless local council. [DBS]Browning 1100
It looks like the team are busy, so I'll have to write the DD for them... 264½ Salute pilots! Very soon we will introduce the new detailed human physiology model in our simulator. We are confident that this will be a significant improvement to the game. We have also been collecting data on other aspects of pilot physiology and we have started work on the new food and drink system. Will this make things harder? The new pilot hunger model is currently undergoing a detailed and meticulous beta test. Pilots will now have to think about what they eat and drink in combat. You won't be able to maneuver your aircraft as easily on an empty stomach and violent maneuvers on a full stomach may produce some dramatic results. Eating too much of the wrong food may increase the overall weight of the aircraft, especially for multi-crew bombers, however you will now be able to open the bomb bays and manually eject any gunners that are negatively affecting your performance Collecting scientific data Thanks to tireless research by the team and the community, we have made this really cool graph about food and drink. It has lots of data in it and many different colors. It even has numbers on it. The graph shows that all our data is impressive. More details... No food and drink system would be complete if substances where only going into the pilots and not coming out also. The ability to open canopys and windows will have new purpose. In addition, some foods may have special effects when combined with other foods in our new crafting system. For example, eating carrots will enable night vision for British pilots, whilst eating lead may cause your engine to cut out. Visual effects I would especially like to mention that the effects of visual impairment have also been readjusted. I personally have been flying aerobatics in ultralight and light sport aircrafts for many years and I often find that if I have not eaten in a while, common objects in the cockpit will start too look like food. I know firsthand what all phases of visual impairment look like from the beginning of the flight stick looking like a baguette, then bombs looking like sausages and eventually almost to cannibalism of the crew as they start to appear like ice-cream sundays. Of course, all levels of these visual effects will be displayed accurately ingame. As a result Ultimately, the new version of the pilot's hunger model will be more interesting, detailed, taking into account new important factors and, as a consequence, more “vital” and corresponding to reality. All tests, including the ones with the participation of real pilots, indicate that this model will be the next important step in the development of our simulator, and the realism of air battles and airplane food will again be raised to the next step with it. This model will get to your computers very soon, along with the next update of the game.
