Seeing that wrecked Brewster I just had a strong sudden urge to play the old IL2 Single Missions over the Gulf of Finland map. They were really fun. Nothing has made me want to get back into it as strongly as that one photo did.

Progress on the Brewster seems to have been rather slow.

I've been there some 6 years ago (the museum, not the bottom of a Carelian lake) and it doesn't appear to look much better today.

As long as BW-372 is in Finland more restoration won't been done.

They want to show BW-372 there condition what it was in August 1998.

There is link to museum's pages where are more information from BW-372

Wow! Did Frank find those calming sounds himself?

Did he just adopt you?

That would be cool if he did find the bird sounds on his own, he does seem to be fond of keyboards for some reason. He fell out of his nest I assume. He managed to make it from the field next door to the back door of my computer shop. I went to the field and looked for a nest but I only saw adult mockingbirds flying around so I put him on the ground and watched him run to a bush. About an hour later he came back to my shop squawking so I again picked him up & went back to the field. I saw cat looking for a new kill & the adult mockingbirds trying to chase the cat away. It has been storming, flooding bad in Texas so I decided to raise another fledgling because he would of not lasted the night.

My eight year old sister once rescued a fallen baby bird. She hid it from my parents and managed to care for it until it was ready to fly. Eventually the bird left the house and built a nest in the pear tree in our yard. While caring for the bird, my sister loosely wrapped a bread tie around the robin's leg to identify it from other birds in the vicinity. Dang thing would land on her finger if she held it out.

Fall came and the bird left for the winter only to come back the next fall to the same tree. Three years it came around. Seeing Frank the Mockingbird brings back good memories.

Thank you all for the kind wishes, Franks still hanging around even with the shop door open to freedom.
