Version 1.006
 
 
We've just released a new verion of the game; here's what we have for you this time:
 
- Bomb sights on Pe-2 and He 111 were fixed in German localization;
- Bomb drop interval and series of bombs settings added to Pe-2 and He 111 bomb sight interface;
- A new command to wingmen added "Stay in formation and cover the leader";
- Some graphical and interface issues with extra resolution modes were fixed (including some related to Matrox TH2Go);
- Excessive roll wobbling when attacking ground targets fixed for AI planes
- Issues with keeping formation when attacking ground targets fixed for AI planes;
- Inlet cowling on La-5 can now be shut when starting with taxiing;
- An issue with releasing Ju 87 gunner's canopy fixed (it used to be shown even when it was not there);
- Trains fixed on Stalingrad map;
- A message about switching bomb fuses on and off added to techno chat;
- An issue that caused the game to shut down slowly and to keep running as a process for 5-20 extra seconds in tray was fixed;
- An issue with ESC menu unavailability was fixed.

Just noticed that there's music in the main menu and sounds effects on button clicks now. Could have been worthy of mentions in the changelogs!

 

Any chances to get the loadouts to save in multiplayer? I thought that was just a single update issue back then but it's been more than a month that it's broken. Kinda annoying to have to set fuel amounts and unlocks every single flyout.

When servers will be back to 64 players?

 

Why at least some non offical servers could host for more then 32 players like it was before and it worked ok?   Offical could stay for 32 see no problem.

Erm... there's now a beeping sound everytime someone get shot or chats in multiplayer, it's very annoying. Feels like i'm on some kind of instant messaging program like skype or msn.

 

Actually scratch that, it's beeping all the time in multiplayer AND singleplayer. Every plane shot, every radio comm, everytime someones dies... beep beep.

Thanks for keeping the momentum...

 

I do like the new music in the menu... Really feels heroic.

 

I am still struggling to get smooth playable framerates (22-32fps - when it really matters),

please devs don't give up on the optimization. My cpu usage is still consistently low with drastic spikes up & down.

 

I hope it goes from strength to strength

64 should be the very minimum i hope they do better then that, patiently waiting for it to be fixed :wacko:

BUG: Single player mission results screen does not display mission results anymore and no XP :/

 

UPDATE: You have to press Esc to see mission results. It keeps loading forever. But no XP added anyway :(

 

Keep going guys !!! Very soon we will have everything in place :)

Yeah, i dont think we should have those "Beeps" when a plane is destroyed, we should be able to confirm oursleves by looking at the plane go BOOM! 

 

although IDK if its a bug or a feature

I am very happy to see that some of my remarks regarding wingmates commands and too much wobbling and roll of the AI planes has been addressed.

Good Job. You are on the good path to success.

 

I have one comment regarding night flying. It is very nice to have the locomotive and trucks with their headlight fully on, so that they can bee seen from miles around. I am not sure this is very realistic. Lighting was pretty dim to avoid detection during the war. Headlights had masks to have just little light to see the road just in front. And after the first attack normally all lights of the convoy should be shut completely off.

... guns were too quiet when engine is running and speed is high, and there was no "immersion of fire and metal storm in 2 meters aside of me"

1+. Have 60+ fps most of the time. But during chases this slows to 20fps or less on servers with ping of 10-20.

XP bug: XP counts foward pilots level but not inside planes level and unlocks.  

 

I just flew a night mission and I noticed some perfect constellations. Really cool !!! Congrats on high the level of details :)

The decision to force the servers to host with 32 is really a strange policy. We perfectly know is still a beta, so why not revert at least to 48-64?

Great fine tuning including :

I only wish "Excessive roll wobbling "was fixed in my own FFB airplane esp tha beautiful if unstable Fw-190....... :unsure:

I dont get why they limited unoffical severs like Syndycate.  They could limit only offical ones if so. 

 

I dont see too much sense to play actually with such low player numbers.

No reaction from AI when command cover the leader is given. Command F7 return to base not working at all.

and one more thing bugs me in multy... there is not enough time in a mission, only 3 hours to end ground war is impossible, is that time restriction also enforced by game or is it server decision?

Luckily it can be turned off, it drove me crazy the first time i heard it.

 

It's called interface sounds in general options.

Nice additions. Maybe you could also provide us with settings switching off the peep peep of chat messages. I also prefer silent buttons so if I could switch it off would be nice. I appreciate the effort though!  :salute:
