I said these days in the forum...do not panic...we are in hands of good professionals. They are demonstrating it day by day...constant updates, making a great sim. Keep Calm and BoS...this people (devs) knows what they do.

New 99.88Mb update now incoming - wondered what "invalid checksum" meant. What will we see today I wonder?

it means they are still uploading the update, and your trying to down load it not ready yet.

Very good job on the fast update and the general update rate. Just like in the good old days, when ROF was a fresh sim :) My trusty TrackIR works again too, so i am not grounded anymore :) I've upgraded my PC exclusively for this sim just to find out, that the "cheapest" piece of hardware keeps you on the virtual ground :D

This is textbook WIP progress. Appreciate the step by step releases, appreciate the Bughunt.

This is ... this is how i want it. Enabling old hardware, cleaning up the code, correcting the missed stuff.

hammering out the updates faster than 151/20 fire rate.

This sort of stuff pushes me towards "here take my money" as soon as you talk of a completely integrated expansion., be that Kuban, be that Murmansk.

keep it up and my wallet and HDD is yours.

Can only agree, my hat's off to the team.

Considering the last three weeks of updates, it's hard to imagine what this sim will be a year from now. Great job.

Very encouraging update.  Played about 8 or 9 straight campaign missions today after the update without having any Esc key problems or CTDs - fingers crossed for that to continue :)

anyone notice lag in multy since update? 

 

couse for me it lags

 

 

IDK lag but server ping has doubled for me since this patch :C (still, great job DEVs)

This was unexpected, so soon. Nice.

 

It should not be. I don't think that BoS is going to be a flash in the pan. If there is one thing I have learned about this team over the past 2 years it is that they take theri time.. They make mistakes because they are human but I believe that they want to deliver a top notch product. I expect to see more ongoing changes as things progress.

Well, I ran another 5 or 6 Campaign missions with my TIR running, and no more CTDs or Esc key problems, so hopefully that one above was just a fluke.  On balance, much more stable so far after 1.005 update - about 15 missions or so with only one CTD today.

Today's update on the Master server (no client updating is required)

 

- A plane destroyed by the gunner should now be counted as a kill for both gunner and the pilot. The Coalition points are taken only for killing the pilot;

- If a player destroys a plane (or any other object) after being shot down (while falling down in a burning plane) the kill points go to his stats anyway;

- If a player damages an enemy plane, and the pilot of that plane quits the flight while in the air, the attacking player still gets the kill points;

- If a player damages an enemy plane, and the pilot of that plane leaves from the server, the attacking player still gets the kill points, and the leaver gets death points as a penalty.

Funny enough people always claimed ot has been like this since day 1 (RoF system). I'm very glad this has been taken into consideration and fixed.

 

When i flew frequently ive seen quite a lot of guys doing so and joining the server shortly afterwards. A very disappointing behaviour from so called "simmers".
