Some small revisions and a little facelift are now in the new version.

Does anybody know if hypoxia is modelled in the game? If so, at what altitude do we need to turn oxygen on?

In the contexts if taking off in a Yak just what does 'rotate gently' mean? Does it mean pull back on the stick gently?

Yes. Lots of pilots used to yank the stick way too much and ended up stalling and crashing.

Normally the aircraft should almost start lifting off by itself. You just need to be fast enough to require very small (or "gentle") stick movement to start a climb.

Not sure about the first question but for the second one: it turns on and off automatically.

I noticed on autopilot it does  deploy oxygen above 2800m

You'd need to ask Ram0506, the moderator of the german-speaking forum.

IIRC there is one.

set your pitch trim up to -15 for take off, and there is no Oxygen for the IL2.

Maybe is useful add that in IL-2 BoS the player can use in Luftwaffe planes the same brake system used for Russian planes:

Press a button (or key) for brake both wheels an move the rudder for brake the right or left wheel independently (or more than other side).  :good:

This is not "historical" (as these planes IRL use "toe brakes) but very convenient for players with twist rudder joysticks, and most these "twist stick" players don't know about this possibility...  :joy:

Hi Chuck,

I'm probably the most recent to say thanks for this excellent resource as I only got BoS last night and today I'm wondering how on earth I'm going to get started.

I'm expecting a steep learning curve but feel reassured by the wealth of experience around me.

Hello Chuck,

Thanks for the info! Great! It helped a lot!

But, I have been looking all over my dashed LaGG for the ashtray....

I am now resigned to it being one of those modern "pull out" jobs that

looks like a tiny drawer that I cannot, for the life of me, locate...

What the...  they removed them??? To save on material???

Noooooo.....

Salute!

Plank.
