  1. Awesome! I'm looking forward to flying them. Good work all round.
  2. Big ups on the forthcoming campaign mode! So, we should be getting the new update this afternoon then?
  3. Beer, Bogans and BONG. I'm with ya! Teehee!
  4. Excellent, I can't wait to try out the new aircraft! Cheers!
  5. No, no I am not kidding. I am not a real life pilot, so obviously the only worthy comparison here would be other flight games. I do enjoy playing the other flight games available, but they don't even come close to the feeling that RoF/BoS/BoM captures. So, yeah. in my opinion I think this game and it's flight modelling is made to a very 'high standard' when I compare it to the other flight games I play. Did you notice I said games? and not Flight Simulators. Because you have to remember, that's all they are. Games! It will never be exactly like real life will it? Not until we get co
  6. Ahahah, Congrats Dr. Z. With your new found celebrity status I think now is the time to release the Dr. Z 'Selfie' book. "Zelfish".
  7. As long as the planes and flight models are created to the same high standard as RoF/BoS/BoM, then I will buy it. It's the planes that keep me interested in flight sims after all. I'm not really bothered about a Pacific Theater of Operations, nor was I, for the Eastern Front. I am however, very excited at the prospect of just messing around in those aircraft that were involved. To be clear, I'm not at all against any of these scenarios either. Part of the enjoyment of this hobby is coming to these forums to learn some of the lesser known historical facts and figures. It never ceases
  8. Thanks for posting the summary ShamrockOneFive. Much appreciated!
  9. Hahaha pigeons. What a great idea! Sid & Reg you legends! That was a great video, thanks for posting man.
  10. Great update! You lads certainly have been busy.
  11. Wow! I take a quick break from the keyboard for a few days and look at all the cool stuff that happens. The last time I did that we got tanks. This time some new planes. Does anyone fancy sponsoring another break for me? I hear there will be a pretty cool party in Russia next month, that'll do! To Jason and the Team, thanks for all the effort you guys put in, you have my support! Now go and make some more planes and maps and planes and gameplay modes and planes and stuff. I will buy those too. Cheers!
  12. I literally re-installed this about 3 days ago, just to check out what Team Fusion had been up to. Now, it's broken. Why did it even get a Steam update in the first place? Thanks for the checklist anyway, Mysticpuma.
  13. I would like to echo the call for naming of the cheaters. I do think the community should know who they're being cheated by. I do not think it will be at all detrimental to the community to know this information either. Other games provide access to a list of people banned, via Master Ban lists. I believe I am a pretty fair and reasonable person, but I also believe - Once a cheat, always a cheat. ...Otherwise. great update, looking forward to see what you guys can come up with!
  14. It all sounds very promising indeed. I'm also pleased to see how responsive the community has been considering we don't know anything about the forthcoming theaters yet! There's always a few that revel in being a negative Nelly, but they will succumb once they see some more progress I'm sure. As far as WWI and WWII sims go, I think Carly Simon said it best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNA7DcVppEs
  15. Never seen any in game from memory, but this thread reminded me of the Polish Treasure hunt. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/08/16/polish-treasure-hunters-begin-excavation-in-hunt-for-nazi-gold-t/ Apparently that is still a thing...
  16. Really? I assumed most of the aircraft in this game had left n right brakes, well there u go: You learn something new everyday. I guess my main point was about removing the wheel brake from my pedals altogether. No chance of accidental Yaw from the pedals when using a joystick button. It's improved my landing handling tenfold.
  17. I was having a similar problem when using left and right toe brakes. I'm not sure exactly what it was? Prehaps one of my feet was heavier than the other, but it was a frustrating experience. I bound both left and right brakes to one button on the joystick and I've never had the problem since. And taxiing in general is much easier now.
  18. Much like Swallow has already mentioned I could never get SweetFX to work the way I wanted in BoS/BoM as it did in RoF. So I binned it! The gamma adjustment in the config file that Jacko mentioned is currently the only adjustment I have made. I found this increased the likely-hood I would notice aircraft at a distance. It also seemed to dull that distant sky bloom effect. After the latest patch I feel it's even easier to spot aircraft now. I have seen the same thing mentioned by others, but I'm not sure if this is just down to a slightly better frame rate, which is allowing my eyes t
  19. Nice, I've actually been listening to a lot of this again lately.
  20. This is a true story I just made up: I heard that the developers - in order to celebrate the start of the Premier League - held a Foosball competition to decide which theater was next. I think Jason chose Hull City and bicycle kicked his way to glory! On a more serious note, my discussions with the Finance Minister (wife) are completed and my meagre wallet is ready to be liberated by the next IL-2 installment. If you make it, I will buy it!
  21. So correct me if I am wrong here, Some of you have successfully removed the grass altogether by editing the .cfg file? If my assumption is correct, did this then help with your fps?
  22. I was thinking the exact same thing. Prehaps having slightly better fps is making the spotting of moving targets easier or something?
  23. Congratulations on the Steam release. I'm looking forward to trying out the new update. Cheers.
