  1. Yep, I've noticed this too. Usually the title text is enough to give you an idea of what you need to hit. But the Primary Objective info has definitely gone AWOL.
  2. The planes in BoM are the BoM(b) Since the update, when I play the campaign, the Primary Objective field on the briefing screen is now always empty.
  3. Having just picked up BoM, I still have most of the planes in their plasic wrapping. I think the I-16 is going to be my new favorite for the forseeable future. I'm not very good in the thing, yet, but it made me smile a lot. Low level, tree top flying in the I-16 is so much fun!
  4. A very good point. I find some of the features of DCS are great. For instance making requests to ATC for startup/takeoff etc, or landing then requesting rearm/refuel. These are just simply brilliant in my opinion. I would love to see them in BoS(M). Pure speculation time: I've always had the impression, DCS World and their whole game/simulator side of things are a just a side project for Eagle Dynamics while they're working on some unmentionable military thingy. I've never gotten that 'all-hands-on-deck' feeling at their forum like I have here. I like their product, but where exactly
  5. Nice! The forests definitely look better. Performance seems slightly better for me also. Cheers,
  6. Hmm Sorry to hear that man! It sounds like your missing some files. Which ones though? Did you get it from the steam workshop or armaholic. IF the former try here: https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/179326-community-upgrade-project-cup/ or the main site here: http://cup-arma3.org/ As for missions, I generally generate my own on the fly using MCC. It will even let you modify existing single player missions while you're playing them. MCC is one of the best mods I have ever used. It will let you have the functionality of the mission editor whilst your in game. You can do anything you
  7. From what I've seen it seems to have some fairly regular updates. I originally installed the version from Armaholic, but now it's up on the Steam workshop. I also prefer the Arma 2 Cold War universe as opposed to this modern weaponry make over. So CUP is the perfect solution here. Plus all the old Arma 2 maps seem to run so much better on the new engine.
  8. I installed MCC and this: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=583575232 It feels like ArmA 2 with new graphics. The Takistan map is amazing on the ArmA 3 engine.
  9. Interesting to hear this information from 3rd party developers. So they need to sell at least 3300 copies at £30 before even considering a profit?
  10. Sokol1, I never picked you to be the type to drive a 'fully-sick' car with PHAT subbies bruv. Nice paintjob though.
  11. Ahhh, Arma3. It's such an awesome military sandbox. The mods alone make this game worthwhile. If you own Arma3 and haven't already installed the MCC mod. Do it right now! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=338988835 Nice video too, thanks for sharing Chief!
  12. He was a great artist. I'm a bit disappointed I never got to see him perform live.
  13. I have both the G940 and the MSFFB2 which the latter I purchased on ebay 2nd(3rd??) hand pretty cheap here in Oz. The G940 is certainly the stronger and more accurate of the two. However the strength in the MSFFB2 has probably waned over the years. Regarding the difference in accuracy, I think this is fairly arbitrary really when you consider the length of both sticks is pretty much the standard for a desktop joystick. The G940 is slightly longer. So when I say more accurate. I guess the G940 is, when you're looking at axes moving in the calibration screen. Sokol1 mentioned, regardin
  14. Yeh, Same, I thought they were referring to Werner Heisenberg who actually did work on the German Nuclear program. I assumed he had the bomb named after him. They also tend to discuss uranium when Heisenberg is brought up. However Heisenberg was also responsible for theorising the Uncertainty Principle so prehaps it has double meaning? It was a good show, but it seems like they tried to sum it up a little to quickly for my liking. I might look for the book.
  15. I think I will wait to see how it pans out. Especially as the 'other' offerings will come to market before long. What happened to the US$300 price tag anyway? Maybe that F35 helmut isn't so bad afterall.
  16. Thanks for the reply. I can understand you wanting to get it all setup first. I do hope you consider it!
  17. I've not been getting much of an opportunity to fly lately. When I do it's not for very long, so the DED Normal server with mouse mode has been great to jump in and fly a sortie or two. When I have more time later this month. I can break out my newly modded g940 again and jump in the Expert. But I have grown quite fond of the Normal server and it's participants. My question is: Do you have any intention to bring this whole idea to the Normal server too? I realise with icons on etc some things will not quite work as well as it would on the Expert server, but it would still be great to se
  18. Musty old Hobbits and sheep! Not much different from Wombats really. In all seriousness I haven't played Clod in a while. I might fire it up.
  19. Very nice pictures. Those dirt airfields look great. and a Happy New Year to one and all!
  20. My son and I loved the Star Destroyer. I think he expects me to build one now! The Wright Brothers RC helo was a right laugh. Not at all practical, but hilarious nontheless. BTW Merry Christmas all. Thanks for posting.
