  8. This is brilliant. Thankyou. My CZ is set up with all plane & vehicle coalitions set to 'F' because I've object-linked the CZ to the player but yes of course the CZ is still actively searching isn't it. I maybe thought that it was ok if it was searching beyond the initial play because I'd 'deactivated' the media and so there was nothing it could play but not so the case. I'll study your informative reply tomorrow. Thank you so much again!
  9. Ah apologies. I forgot to say that, that's the folder I use here at home and I forgot to change the directory when I uploaded it publicly but yes thanks, I'll try by using underscores and nor spaces and see if that helps.
  10. Unfortunately on testing the mission this evening, the takeoff audio on the runway) is indeed playing once again when the player returns back over the same spot for landing. I set up the trigger deactivation o/linked to the animator and m/linked the animation operator to the deactivation trigger. Maybe I'm not understanding the logic of a trigger deactivation properly. My hopes were that, once activated, it deactivates the animation operator and therefore the sound file would not be played again even when the player flies through the check zone area at a later point in the mission.
  11. All of a sudden I can't get the jpeg image files to show at mission start. I've included a dropbox link to the mission (it's set on the Rheinland map and includes the 4.502 Hurricane & BoN's C-47 so I'm guessing all these would be needed. It's quite busy and there's a few MCU's going on and I'm wondering whether something's interfering with the images as I've included a pictorial mission start a few times now and with no hassles but here and now, whatever I try, nothing shows. I've tried reloading the files and resetting them in the Media MCU, I've decreased the size of file, changed the d
  12. Hurricanes and Skytrains 4.502 saw the release of the Hawker Hurricane Mk.II and the ai version of the C-47A Skytrain. With kind cargo dropping logic assistance and examples from Sketch and some problem solving by JimTM I made a simple mission on the Rheinland map. You fly as Angel Leader, part of a 2-ship Hurri flight. Tennis Flight are detailed for low altitude training drops today, in hasty preperation for an upcoming surge of resupply missions deep across enemy lines.   13. Hopefully a simple question here. How do I disable an audio file (through Command Sound/Translator Animation Operator) once it's been played out to the player and NOT have it active again throughout the mission? Basically I've set my audio file up as per picture, using a simple Trigger Check Zone with all plane and vehicle coalitions set to 'F' and having the C/Z object-linked to the Player so as not to repeat any time another allied aircraft or vehicle triggers the C/Z area. This works well but once played, I don't want it being replayed if the Player enters that C/Z again. (

  15. I'm not sure I follow you. I selected all 6 C-47's together and changed the 'model' to ju-52 and obviously went in and set up cargo carried and lowered the speeds and height to accommodate such a slow plane but not sure what you mean by a box to be checked 🤔

Furthermore; I noticed that in getting a flight of C-47's to take off from a large runway (Deurne near Antwerp on the Rheinland map), they line up 2 a-breast as per normal but no one aircraft is on the actual runway, all a/c taking off from the grass verges either side. I've not encountered this before with IL-2. The C-47's have no problem with this it seems but I wanted to see if my mission was set up correctly to be able to at least drop cargo etc and so I merely changed the flight to Ju-52's to see if they'd drop their cargo/troopers and not only can I get them all to take off successf
  17. Is my understanding correct that the current C-47 doesn't do airborne cargo/trooper drops? Forgive me if it's a known limitation at present but I can't find anything on it. Basically I've tried setting up a simple 1000m drop with cargo visibly onboard, tried using Command Attack Area from the last waypoint, with 'Attack Ground' checked, even tried 'Force Complete' etc with an event trigger to proceed to the next waypoint on 'BingoCargo' and nothing seems to work, only to have the formation circle above the attack zone. I'll have to take this onboard for the other missions that aren't loading but in the mean time I'm really so bloody grateful to you Jim. And thank you all on this thread for input, time and help. 😊

  20. My process was to go in to every mission I'd made, delete the msnbin file from each, then I opened up ME, ran the 'resave all missions in folder' tool which expectedly took an age. Some missions are fine and unscathed but most have dead media triggers and blank subtitle triggers. Admittedly, with a lot of time and effort, these can be salvaged but the 'resave' tool stopped three times, not being able to read three missions. I've retried the tool since and have also tried to open these missions directly via the ME and no luck at all. I've included a dropbox link to one suc
  21. I do have backups which is at least a saving grace so once I find out just what's gone wrong I can begin the salvage operation. Regards the translator subtitles all going blank, I just can't begin to fathom that one at all.
  22. Hi Gambit. I create a mission folder and within the folder, a sub folder named 'media' and 2 more sub folders within media called 'jpegs' and mp3' I've not made any structural changes to the folders of any kind. I've always had a folder within the Missions folder called 'My Missions' and within that folder goes the individual mission folders and so on. This is the only time I've had troubles of this nature, all other updates have been fine but now, with every one of my SP missions, I'm having to, for some reason, re-browse for the files, 'even though' the path is unchange
  23. This update id absolutely unbelievable and not for any good reason, especially for the mission maker. It's taken me a little over 18 hours to update all my missions to work with this patch (and that's even with using the resave feature) but I was horrified to find that you ALSO HAVE TO re-browse and re-set every single media trigger (jpeg, mp3 etc) which is taking an age to do and the final straw is finding that every single Subtitle trigger has been wiped of text.   24. I agree. Atmosphere is so important in a scripted campaign and this goes to show that custom radio calls are absolutely paramount and when done as good as this; it's an immersive heaven. The mission writing is great, well thought out and above and beyond all else to date but the call outs are just completely stellar. Gambit has raised that bar to a great height. Long may he continue to deliver material this good.
