  1. Actually mine is 480 watts, that's what the sticker on the PS says. I ordered the Gigabyte AMD RX460 and it arrived yesterday, installed with no issues. The game runs & looks great now! Thanks for all the input folks!
  2. I bought the game but can't even try it out I had to order a new video card for my computer, hopefully that will help. No one is newer to the series than me LOL
  3. I've been looking into a GTX 750TI, not the OC one, they only require a 400 watt power supply and mines 460 I believe and it should plug right in. They seem to go for around $160 Canadian. Anyone here using one?
  4. I just bought and installed BoS and was looking forward to enjoying it. Not so, the mouse is in slow motion and the game is a slide show. I believe my computer is not an issue but I think the video card may be at fault. I think I need a GTX 660 or GTX 760 or better but I don't know what will physically fit in the tower. (HP Envy) Here's what I have and it's obviously not good enough. Any suggestions appreciated. I'm retired and on a very limited income. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586) (10586.th2_release.160802-1857) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard System Model: 700-059c BIOS: 80.07 Processor: Intel® Core i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz Memory: 12288MB RAM Available OS Memory: 12242MB RAM Page File: 2517MB used, 17916MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: 11.2 --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: AMD Radeon HD 8470 Manufacturer: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. 5. Is the Channel map worth buying? I don't see it on the (RoF) servers much?
  6. So I installed IL-2 Sturmovik - 1946 and all the updates including 12. During the installation and updates I started the game to see if it worked, and it has. Problem is, it doesn't recognize my CH Pro stick, throttle & pedals. What's needed to "install" my controllers? Thanx.
  7. I'm new to this forum and new to this topic. However, I'm not new to WWII air combat online. In the mid 90's I played Air Warrior, then some Warbirds and in more recent years, Aces High. Even back in the dark ages of online multiplayer, they were able to use a variety of bombers flown by users. A B-17 could have 10 live players from around the world flying to a distant airfield on a bombing mission to destroy the enemy field in hopes of weakening it so that it could be captured. With voice coms (teamspeak today), the players all at their own gun positions could communicate, report incoming (player) fighters etc. If nothing else, while flying for an hour or more in real time, while not being attacked, great discussions were to be had. These games had (3) countries that were enemies and the battles continued persistently. So if you logged off and came back the next day, the war was still raging. Why 3 countries, I don't know, I always thought two would be better. You joined a country, flew for that country and became very loyal to it. If this could be accomplished in the mid 90's on equipment and software we laugh at today, think of the possibilities here!
  8. Several years ago I had the opportunity to meet Franz Stigler. He belonged to the Abbotsford (BC Canada) Flying club. Unfortunately, I was busy at the time and couldn't make it and have since lost the contact. I would think that he's passed away by now. One of the interesting quotes I heard about him from the flying club members was that he was a far better pilot than he was a driver of a car. Apparently he was a terrible driver LOL. I saw an interview on a Seattle TV station where he and the B-17 pilot were re-united, it was quite emotional.
  9. I just had a look at the Nugget's Guide. That's amazing!! I saved that page and will be referencing it when I re-install IL2
  10. Thanx for the speedy replies guys. I'm a player of RoF and it is a beautifully done game, if the same quality goes into BOS, it will be an awesome game. I did see a short clip of two BF109's and they were incredible. I'm an old Air Warrior, Warbirds and Aces High player and am very interested in this project. I don't have a Red Baron game although back in the late 80's there was a single player Red Baron game that I had, maybe it had multiplayer, I don't know, I didn't explore that option at the time. Well, I guess I've arrived at the right place to keep abreast of any updates. Thank you all!
  11. I know very little about IL2 Sturmovik other than I bought the Gold Edition and the Pacific fighters quite some time ago. I never really played them, I don't remember why. I don't know anything about Cliffs of Dover and even less of Battle of Stalingrad. So where do I stand, do I need my gold edition and Pacific Fighters as a base, or is BOS a stand-alone product? Will I need Cliffs of Dover? Any help would be appreciated. Thanx!
