If I scroll through paintjob options in the hangar screen, the bug will flash in-between skin changes.

    In the viewer too.

For an unknown  reason (to me ;)), only on some P-51D skins, there is an "interference" on the wings upper surfaces with the internal structures (p51d15na_2.dds).

    1) no graphic bug with "Lollipoop" :

    Lollipoop.thumb.jpg.b64cb33017a5cf9506489efd49a30f27.jpg

    2) graphic bug with B7-U of 361st Fighter Group :

    B7-U.thumb.jpg.2f6d4d3fe89dca83eb9ff8ec49ed42e9.jpg

    3) Internals seen through a "transparent skin" (any skin with a pure black alpha layer) :

Maybe can we hope soon an hotfix patch from the developers ?

The one major stopping block to making these heavies is their impact on performance due to the large number of AI (all gunners are separate AI) so making them AI-only will not solve the issue.

You are right, but Viermots would be amazing...

Look at this 3D model of an incoming large scale plastic model !

I agree with PatCartier : look at this  better scan of the only known (by me) photograph of this Bf 109 G-6 flown by Oblt. Wilhelm Schilling, Staffel Kapitän of 9./JG 54, Ludwiglust, lost on 10th or 20th February 1944.

W.Nr. 440141 according to Forsyth & Creek in the old "Defending the Reich" (Vol. 5 - Section 1of the Luftwaffe Colours serie.

And "probably" W.Nr. 27068 according to the more recent Luftwaffe Gallery "JG 54 Special Album" by Mombeeck & Goralcyk.

    Hi all,

do you know what means the « + » frequently seen beside this factory stencil ? (And also on some P-38s and P-47s). Related to fuel load ?

    Thanks.

Answer maybe found in P-51-D-5 pilot's flight operating instructions : "All airplanes equipped with 85 gallon fuselage fuel tanks may be identified by a white plus (+) sign painted below the serial number on the left hand side of the fuselage."

(Actually, not really a white cross on my examples…). End of the off-topic.

  8. Does Luftwaffe planes not (yet ?) included in game count ?

If so, please, find below, some German aircraft with their official and/popular nicknames :

    Arado Ar 234 "Blitz",

    Dornier Do 17, fliegende Bleistift,

    Focke-Wulf Fw 44 "Stieglitz",

    Focke-Wulf Fw 189 "Eule" , fliegende Augen,

    Focke-Wulf Ta 152 "Moskito",

    Heinkel He 162 "Salamander",

    Heinkel He 219 "Uhu",

    Messerschmitt Bf 108 "Taifun",

    Messerschmitt Me 163 "Komet",

Messerschmitt Me 323 "Gigant"; "Leucoplast Bomber",

    ...and many more...

  9. This  is an early version of the VDM logo (usually triangular as seen in game on official Bf 110s skins).

    Full text is :

    VEREINIGTE DEUTSCHE METALLWERK A.-G.

    HAMBURG- ALTONA

I made my own approximative version sometimes ago (using Arial font, not totally accurate) but the problem is the propeller blades are very small on the He 111 template,  even if 4K resized and when applied on it the logo looks like a white spot ;)

I have a request for a fix for the P-51 template.  I've tried to paint the filtered air covers, and there is an issue.  The one cover (both actually, using one as an example) would be split between two different sections of mesh.  One the top/main half, I can paint on it fine.  But when I paint on the bottom half (on a different section of mesh in the template), the paint will lay over the holes in the cover.  Can this be resolved?

    Hi,

this plate can be painted as you like on the skin with slight modifications on the alpha layer.

If you want you can even remove the holes, as seen on some P-51s.

  11. Bonjour,
