  1. The regional pricing is a bit of a mess with this one, I think that could be affecting numbers. In Canada the base price is $90 with the release sale dropping that to $76, out of the ten friends on my list who own Cliff's and play sims regularly only one has purchased this. I'm not saying this isn't worth $90 but I am saying that's a pretty big tab for a lot of people at the end of the day, especially during the current state of the world. Anyway, just a thought. I'd love to see this do well and succeed but only time will tell if the ticket to ride is too much of a pill for most to swallow.
  2. Happens to me with Trackir, usually a quick and snappy nod of the head sets it back in place. Never even considered it a bug, figured the odd quirk like this was just the price of head tracking. Think it happens in DCS too but it’s been ages since I played that so not 100%
  3. I’d be happy if we could bind the turret controls to key presses similar to Hell Let Loose.
  4. You had me at "I do enjoy some of those aspects in campaigns such as "Blue Nosed bastards of Bodney" (DCS)" Bunyap did a couple fantastic campaigns for DCS as well, both his P-51 Charnwood & Spitfire Epsom campaigns are excellent, both offering maps showing bomb lines, troop movements, etc. All built from the historical day to day reports of the actual days you fly the missions on, all mind blowingly accurate. If your single P-51 mission is any indicator, I think you'd do a great job heading in this more realistic direction, I've already flown that stupid P-51 mission of yours countless times And just as an aside, if you've read The Big Show, I can't recommend Reflected's Big Show Campaign enough, it's pretty cool to experience some of the moments from the book in an actual flight sim. All this is to say I think you'd do as good a job as any of these guys, some solid research material up there too if you choose to go that route. Either way, you've my support Jade, I'll keep my eyes peeled and best of luck!
  5. Hmm, maybe I'll bounce between the two for a bit, always good to see what settings others are running as I find the fine tuning doesn't stop at the developers end. I'm always tweaking something to get this to look just that little bit better. Thanks for the info!
  6. You're running almost the same setup as I am, but at 2k resolution I find the scratches on the canopy look terrible if "Sharpen" is enabled so I keep it off. Do you notice a big difference with that set to on?
  7. From BlackSix on Steam, locations of folders, copy paste the ones you need to save: ...Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\startup.cfg - basic settings ...Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\input\ - control settings ...Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\LuaScripts\snapviews\ - views settings ...Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\Missions\ - your missions ...Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\Tracks\ - your tracks ...Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\*.bmp - your screens
  8. Gentlemen, step away from the computer screen, take a shower, go for a walk or jump on your bike and get some fresh air. Sometimes too much time staring at the screen causes us all to lose perspective. The dev's have been working their asses off, let them relax, they did a helluva job releasing the amount of content they did, let them relish in that for a bit. This game is a work in progress, things get better, they get worse, there are ups and downs but eventually they generally end up balancing out. The same will happen with the spotting, dollars to doughnuts this is the beginning of a much longer road of tweaks and adjustments until they dial in the proper balance between reality and playability - let them do their thing. In the meantime, walk away and take a deep breath because at this point the 3.201 thread is a dumpster fire of bickering adults that's quite frankly embarrassing. Don't you guys have bills to pay or kids to feed or wive's to $&#@? Anything is more important than this rote argument.
  9. Fingers crossed they work it out because the new spotting added a heap of atmosphere, almost felt like a new game. I imagine it will be a work in progress over time as there's a super fine line they're trying walk between realistic and playable. No easy task.
  10. I'm running CC 2019 on a Mac so this isn't the one I used but it's the official plugin from Nvidia so it should do the trick. When you're done editing just make sure you "save as" and select .dds from file type: https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop Happy artsing
  11. Hey Shifty, you need to download a .dds plugin for Photoshop. I know Nvidia used to offer one. Pretty easy to track down, it'll be free so no need to worry about coughing up any extra, just google "photoshop .dds plugin" and you should find it.
  12. Amazing P-51 mission Jade, felt a lot closer to something like Bunyap's Charnwood or Epsom campaigns than your typical IL2 mission/campaign. Really excellent work!
