  1. Wanted to do some flying last night and clicked the launcher and noticed the launcher wanted to download the entire Game Client. Its been a while since I last launched and know there have been significant updates but 22gb? Is this right? I went to bed and let things run but this unfortunately this morning when I went back to check there has been a freeze with the launcher and I cancelled. Started the game launcher again and it wanted to download the 22gb again but I have almost run out of space as the previous downloads seems to still be there. What is going on here?
  2. Just a minor correction.... $40 US is actually $56.40 Canadian. Cheers,
  3. Thanks RK, Upon further reflection and reading the pdf its obviously better to keep all the modules in one place. Yeah...unfortunately due to the lockdown I am very tight on cash. I gave-in and bought BoN on the last promo sale as I just had to have the Typhoon and the Lightning. As tempted as I am with the Kites of FC, I just need to hold-off and not spend any money for now and take the time learning the modules I do own and if i need to scratch that WW1 itch.... i'll just load up my copy of RoF. Thanks for the clarification.
  4. I would like to purchase Flying Circus V1 however its about $7 cheaper through the steam sale as my native dollar slides into the abyss and the exchange rate climbs. I have purchased/been gifted previous modules through the Webstore so far and want to know if I can use the steam FCv1 module with my existing BoN/BoK webstore versions? Please advise. Ty
  5. It's great to see companies giving back in these crazy times. Thanks for the great tip! Love Osprey Publishing. You can still get weeks 2, 3 and 4 is available now. Cheers
  6. Just started it. Seemed appropriate considering where things are at with my freelance business!
  7. All I can say is HOLY CRAP! and thanks again for your generosity! After a massive 4 hour install (was not expecting that) I finally got a chance to quickly take out a few planes for a spin and also to make sure my computer was able to handle IL2-BoX (It was early morn here by the time the install finished so I only had time for a few quick missions) and to my amazement I can fly on High/Ultra settings and this sim is everything I could hope for. I am truly impressed with the current physics and graphical fidelity and how far things have developed from IL2-1946. As a bonus all my ol
  8. Thank you Geronimo, I am assuming that "Wings of Liberty" is an online server? Once I get my feet wet and dust off the HOTAS (it's been a few years since flying any sims and that was DCS Warthog) I hope to get online. I hope my old equipment still works. Cheers,
  9. Holy Crap! woke up this morning to a wonderful email. Thank you so much Niiranen. I hope you had a super-wonderful birthday. As my freelance business has halted at the moment and funds are low (damn virus) at the moment, I've been wanting to get into virtual flying again, and this comes as a wonderful surprise. I can't wait to install BoK later this evening and give it a go. I do at some point hope to give skinning a go so I'll definitely keep you in mind when I get around to it. Thank you so much.
  10. Happy Birthday fellow Aries! Total new guy here so "Battle of Kuban" if the give away is still going on. Cheers!
  11. Thank you for all your help. My specs look good! After perusing the forum I can see a very healthy community exists here. I must admit it has been a while since I have been in the virtual pilots seat. I am looking forward to getting my feet wet again. I wish I had more funds to delve a little deeper into the other modules and do appreciate the discount codes offered by the devs to give this a go. Hopefully the FOREX market is a little better tomorrow. I also noticed that CLoD:BE is $7.25 CAD on steam. Is it worth getting? Cheers,
  12. Hello fellow Canuck I am running a Mac Pro 5,1 with a dedicated bootcamp partition running windows 7. I can run most modern games on it fairly well such as borderlands 3 on medium settings. Processor Name: 6-Core Intel Xeon Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz Number of Processors: 2 Total Number of Cores: 12 Memory: 32 GB Radeon RX 580: 8192 MB TrackIR 5 Saitek X-52 Pro HOTAS Pro Flight Rudder Pedals Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant Thoughts?
  13. Thank you all for the replies. Now I just need to figure out if my current rig can run it. This virus has wreaked havoc on our currency here. The US to CDN conversion is US $39.96 = CAD $55.76 (plus bank fees). Might wait a few days to see if it becomes a little better. Could also go the other way unfortunately. Will these collector planes work in BoBP standalone? - P-38J-25 Collector Plane - Spitfire Mk.VB Collector Plane - P-40E-1 Collector Plane If I can successfully run CLoD this should run ok... correct? Any thoughts? Th
  14. Hello, This might have been asked already, however a look through the forums I was unable to answer this question. I am interested in purchasing only the BOBP module (as money is very tight ATM) but I am confused as to the need to own the other Modules first. - If I buy from STEAM I need to purchase BoS first? (in order to play the other modules) - If I take advantage of the "CabinFever'" promo codes and purchase direct through IL2sturmovik.com the modules are all stand alone? (don't need to purchase BoS) Can somebody please clarify this for
