  1. QMB still a pain the ass - German planes eat dozens of hits and keep flying. Even heavy visible damage does not force them to bail out/head back to base. Bodenplatte module sucks hard from a singleplayer perspective right now. It's not like Luftwaffe wasn't overpowered before...
  2. Fighting AI in QMB with P-47 and P-51 is simply a pain in the ass with the new damage model. AI keeps fighting no matter how many hits you put into them, they hardly ever disengage. Also, the M2 does considerably less damage than the UBS and lacks the API ammo, therefore you need an abundance of hits to defeat the enemy planes, making the whole experience intolerable...

  4. I have seen several occasions where enemy AI-controlled tanks start burning but their crews stay inside and in some cases even keep firing at you. This is something that needs tweaking in my opinion...
  5. Yeah, they fitted the 57mm ZiS-2 to a small number of T-34 M1943 in the summer of 1943 and tested them in combat before choosing the 85mm... Would be a good modification for the T-34 M1943 we have already, just like the commander's cupola that is shown in the promo pictures.

  9. I just checked and actually it was introduced for the SU-152 in the summer of 1943, but not all vehicles received it immediately. Would be a good modification in my opinion...   10. Awesome progress report and I am very much looking forward to the new features. Very happy about the announcement of new quick mission options that are really needed for the tanks. Just one question because it isn't in the screenshot: Will we get a Dshk AA machine gun for the SU-152? Would be a good modification option as it was introduced in summer 1943, but not all SU-152 received it immediately.

  12. Yes, especially because they are historical, at least those I have posted repeatedly. They may have been from another unit/ campaign, but that also counts for many aircraft skins like USAAF skins for the P-39 or Australian Spitfire skins...

  17. Is it possible to add all tanks from the Tank Crew addon to the Quick Mission Builder? Right now, only the Tiger is among the ground units you can encounter in QMB as far as I have experienced it. Should be relatively easy to add the other German tanks from the Tank Crew expansion.
  18. The Panther is great, t(h)ank you very much! :D Is there any schedule for the quick mission generator for Tank Crew that lets us choose the AI tanks we want to have as opponents and allies? Right now, you can't have most of the tanks specifically made for Tank Crew as AI-controlled enemies or allies in QMB which is a bit of a pity, as these vehicles all look great and perform excellently. Being able to choose and customize them like aircraft would be superb!
  19. Yes, I know and have played that many times. But currently you can't choose the tank that the enemy is using and the AI in QMB does not use the vehicles designed for Tank Crew with the exception of the Tiger tank. Alll the other tanks they use are the standard ground units that come with the Great Battles series. So it would be nice to be able to choose which tank you fight against and which one is on your team.
  20. Does anyone have a clue when they are going to release this feature mentioned in the product description? I would really like to choose tanks for allied and enemy AI as I can do with aircraft. Also, do we have any clue how it will be implemented?
  21. I am aware of these prototype/operational use issues, but they also apply to some planes already in the sim. Still, I understand the concerns you pointed out nicely. I don't know about the T-34-57 or KV-85 in War Thunder, it would just be one possible option which you could also do less OP here. As I said in the first post, I just wanted to point out that the game could use some more modifications / skin options that can be done quite easily and we can discuss prototypes all day.

On the new promotional image for tank crew on the IL-2 website, both the T-34 and the Panzer IV have extra equipment not featured in the game at the moment: https://il2sturmovik.com/s/img/main_slides/tc_early_access_en.38bdcabe053a.jpg The Panzer IV has got an MG34 AA machine gun mounted on the commander's cupola which should be easy to add to Tank Crew for all (German) tanks. The self-propelled guns/ tank destroyers also need them and at least the SU-152 could be equipped with the DshK according to the sources one can find. The second piece of equipment is the commander's cupola for the T-34. There is an AI controlled T-34 M1943 with the cuploa which also appears in some missions in the Breaking Point campaign. This would be a good modification for the playable T-34, especially if you advertise with this feature. In general, it would be nice to have some more modifications and skin options in the final game it, is rather mediocre at the moment compared to the planes. There are almost no multi-coloured camouflage skins for Allied vehicles available by default for example.
  25. Thing is: The Developer Diary specifically says that the Su-122's HEAT shell can penetrate 120mm of armor, allowing it to take out any German tank. If this does not work now, there is something wrong here for sure.
