  2. "Although the aircraft had been designed around the 610hp Jumo 210 12 cil. inverted-Vee liquid cooled engine, one was not available at that time and the prototype took off powered by a 695 hp Rolls-Royce Kestrel imported from Britain".
  3. Same system was applied to russian deliveries as to British units.
  4. A nice idea. After landing have a nice (digital) cup of thea.

  7. Today I visited Volkel airbase to see the airforce airhow. Lots of people had the same wonderful idea. Here some pics :-) . . . . . . . . .
  8. Meteor could be used for some ground attack work. Used sparsly in that sense.

  10. I visited this airshow in the north east of Holland today. 10th time they organised it (every 2 years). Quit a nice planeset. Some start to call it "little Duxford" Here some pics. . . . hmmm....what seems to be missing? . . . . . . . . . .

  13. Jan Linzel (103) passed away a week ago. Fokker D21 pilot in may 1940 he later joined the RAF and flew Spitfire and Tempest missions. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/dutch-air-force-pay-tribute-to-former-ww-ii-fighter-pilot-in-cork-1.3886776?mode=amp&fbclid=IwAR0em_9s6-PQhQ1gm3wpK329TtIkbae2TMNl87NXXUMrFMUGSCL4J_yzTxI
  14. Had to check a couple of books but then I found it ...
  15. The 1000KG bombload was tested with some Me 262's. Not on operational missions as far as I read. I have the following book and it mentions the 2nd V7 (W Nr 170 303) being used for different bombloads up to a 1000KG and with the help of RATOG to keep take off runs somewhat "usefull". Flown by testpilot Herlitzius. 700 km/h at 800 meters height was a bit "nerverecking"
  16. Lest euch noch etwas?
  17. Might as well go for a west offensive scenario ......
