  1. Pacific work? Is the Pacific Theater being worked on? I have only read that this won’t happen because of a lack of FM details and other aircraft-specific information needed for development. Do you have new information?
  2. Cheers to your bloodstream!
  3. What does free external camera do, besides making aircraft disappear?
  4. Dutch: Nice overclocks on your GPU and CPU. Any issues with heat or stability? How do the FPS compare when you run the same scenarios without VR?
  5. Ehret : Just out of curiosity, what do you see as a good alternative to BoX? I always like having options and wonder what you recommend?
  6. I like it. I think the developers are checking to see if we are paying attention.
  7. Gameplay. Historical Accuracy. Mechanical Accuracy. Superior Graphics. Impact on Computer Performance. Theaters of War: No computer simulation that I know of can do it all at 100%, all of the time. There probably will always be some sort of limitation on how close to “real life” a computer simulation program can get. From someone who is new to both the forum and this sim, I believe the developers appear to be making an honest attempt to continue to make necessary upgrades and repairs in efforts to achieve superior results. However, their plan of attack is not necessarily the same as what our individual desires are. Reading many posts, it is interesting to see what different users see as important to add or fix. Some think it’s important to change the placement of a rivet on an aircraft for historical accuracy, others want engine timer system revised. Mods are loved by some, despised by others. There is a SP vs. MP mentality. Flight models aren’t realistic. Almost everyone wants something slightly different to make this their perfect game/sim. I will voice my concerns if I desire to have something added, fixed or improved. But I know my requests may not be at the top of the list, nor even relevant to the improvement of this product. I am not driving the business plan nor have ownership of the resources. But I will continue to play and financially support this ongoing effort because I think it is currently the best WWII flight sim available. And I see strong efforts being made to continue to make improvements, communicate and address user concerns on a regular basis. And if I’m wrong? No big deal. Even though I love to fly and blow up things, it’s just a game. It’s a great diversion from the real world, but that’s all it is. Happy flying to all. May all your wishes be granted. DD
  8. I’m not sure exactly what this does. Can someone supply some additional information? I’ve installed it but nothing seems to happen. Thanks
  9. Thanks for the reply. I’ve done this several times and only Danger Dogs and The Flying Ass Clowns show as options. Not sure what I may be doing wrong.
  10. I’m new to multiplayer. How do I get on to your server?
  11. Team killing is shooting down members of your own side or team.
  12. I’ve been using the UTC II for the last month and am really impressed. Ordering was simple with Bartek (owner). He gave me lots of information on the product to help make an informed purchasing decision. He also was clear on shipping options. The small, sturdy package took 11 days from Poland to Connecticut US. It was logically packed wasting no space or material. The actual product is very solid but light, nicely designed and has a simple matte black finish. Three “invisible” LED’s, on/off switch and charging port are in clear view. Attaching it to my headphones with supplied Velcro was a no-brainer. I had been using TrackIR5 with a hat clip. I was satisfied with the results...until I tried the UTC II. I noticed it was much smoother, offered me a wider field-of-view and seemed never to be out of camera range no matter how I twisted and bobbed my head. It was a definite improvement for me when using TrackIR camera and software. I imagine results may vary using different software and cameras but I am completely satisfied with my setup.
  13. Do you get full FF response like when the stick was originally issued? I’ve tried mine and found there is much less FF now. Nothing when the guns are fired, a little resistance on the stick sometimes, no rumble when taxiing, no jolt on wheels up. I have the original driver discs but am unable to install on Windows 7. If you have a way to get better feedback, please let me know. I would very much like to reactivate this old friend.
  14. Codswallop? This may be my new favorite word.
  15. How is FF working for you? Can you feel it when weapons are fired? Is there still an issue with stick centering? I have an original MSFF Sidewinder and am thinking of setting it up.
  16. Followed the above advice and all worked fine except slowing the zoom. Although I believe I initially saw inputs for inertia and fov, I can no longer find them. Can anyone direct me to them? Thanks Followed the above advice and all worked fine except slowing the zoom. Although I believe I initially saw inputs for inertia and fov, I can no longer find them. Can anyone direct me to them? Thanks Pardon me! I found the “missing” controls.
  17. I've been in and out of Key Mapping for a couple of days now setting up my joystick (VKB Gladiator). There are tons of options but I can't find the last few I need before I'm ready to fly with (and get shot down by) some of you. I have been using the FW 190 to test my settings. Here is what I am unable to achieve and hope you can give me direction to complete setup: Zoom: I would prefer to bind this to one hat switch position, but I will use two hat positions if needed. What I can't achieve is a snap-like or toggle in/out zoom. I prefer to zoom immediately out and immediately in without a zoom transition. Perhaps there's a way to speed-up the transition from in to out positions. Adjust Gunsight: My FW 190 gunsight is not currently centered horizontally and I would also like to move it a little on the vertical. Mouse Views: I use TrackIR so will not be using the mouse for views. Sometimes I accidentally move the mouse and have to reset my view. How do I deactivate mouse views? Do I have to delete all of the settings for it in Key Mapping or is there a better way? Thank you in advance for your help. This seems like a great community!
  18. Thanks. I may have to do this if I don’t find another way.
  19. I have been trying to bind a toggled zoom (on/off) to one position on my hat switch with no luck. Please tell me what you did to make this work.
